Yes, sucking thumb is bad for you, once the kids' teeth start growing. It can mess up the process. With how the teeth line up, and the roof of the mouth-ect.

Apparently there's a Bluey short to go with the episode Handstand which has muffin, Sox and Leela/Lila upstairs whilst everything else is happening downstairs which is why they weren't there

Biologist here and animal lover in general. Many animals will suck on their digits as a form of comfort and like people it can also be harmful. A good example if you're interested to learn is a clip from Bondi Vet (available on YouTube) about an orphan baby kangaroo sucking on its toes - they had to put socks on it to stop it sucking as it could have lead to a potentially fatal infection.

yes, i had to get braces as a kid because i sucked my fingers all the way to the age of five etc. it can specifically damage your front four teeth!
