Apparently the episode baby race almost didn't make it into production as the writer /creator Joe brumm worried that kids would find the episode too boring. It was only when Joe's wife read the script and loved it that he was convinced it should become an episode.

I think chilli and Bandit forgetting Easter was a nod to lockdown and being stuck at home

Isabella

I had wondered why they didn't give them candy. Maybe they couldn't buy candy because the stores ran out as they were too busy

Isabella

Chili being worried about Bluey's development makes sense as she is Bandit and Chili's rainbow baby. A rainbow baby is a baby you have after you had a miscarriage

Isabella

Why did Calypso hide the typewriter

Lilly Em

You are going to love the bluey short 'honk'

I watched baby race for the first time not pregnant with no real wish to have kids and I cried. I just watched it again now with you as I'm very pregnant with my first and I almost sobbed. It just hit so much harder. This show is an absolute gem!
