Sometimes I wonder if I do the original justice or if I change it too much and fail to keep the essence of the original in tact.This is all a learning experience!

You should do what feels right to you, if your using the original as the base, then whatever comes out of your drawing is your interpretation of it. When someone makes a statue based off a real person, it would never be a perfect replica, but thats what makes it different and unique. You made your own drawing based on the other. The original is good, but yours is good, but we appreciate it because its not the same essence. Your's has Your essence.
