Simple Cave [20x20] (Patreon)

A cave entrance or exit, with space large enough for one encounter and some exploration. The water flows from top-left and continues its way somewhere off-map, perhaps into a forest stream. Once the party is done fighting, they can investigate the bones and the backpack beyond the water - perhaps someone hid there and waited for a monster or bandits to leave, but that never happened?

• Hideout variant is where the bandits have settled for the time being. Perhaps goblins, perhaps humans.

• Animal variant is a lair of predators that sleep here to later roam the wilderness

• Poison variant is where the water source has been poisoned and needs to be purified before all animals in the forest get sick

• Lava variant turns the water into its very hot, volcanic equivalent, making exploration far more perilous.
