CarLink — Real Infotainment for BeamNG.drive (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

I’m working on CarLink, a BeamNG.drive infotainment mod focused on making vehicle interiors feel more alive and functional.

The idea is to replace BeamNG’s default infotainment/navigation screen with a modern media interface that can display your real Windows media directly inside the car.

CarLink reads the current Windows media session and shows your music information in BeamNG, including track data, artist information, album artwork and playback state.

The mod is designed to work with vehicles that use BeamNG’s standard infotainment/navigation screen system. This means it can work with official vehicles, compatible modded vehicles, and also BeamNG’s dashboard GPS accessory for cars without built-in infotainment screens.

Current features include:

Real Windows media display

Track, artist and album artwork

Music / GPS / Menu screens

Manual screen switching with Page Up / Page Down

Automatic Music/GPS switching based on media activity

BeamNG GPS remains functional

Support for BeamNG’s GPS accessory

Compatibility with vehicles using BeamNG’s standard screen system

Right now, the first build is getting close to release. I’m still testing vehicle compatibility, checking performance, cleaning up the setup process and making sure everything behaves reliably before publishing it.

This is not official Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or anything affiliated with Apple, Google, BeamNG, Spotify or any vehicle manufacturer. It is a custom infotainment system inspired by modern vehicle media interfaces.
