So it was a quick change up for the Bit Extra this month, as I wrote a Halloween-themed scenario for one of my $50 patrons this month and loved it so much I asked if I could share it, and they generously said yes!

So I couldn't resist posting this as it was a some real Halloween fun with Farah and the rest Unit Bravo, hehe!

_ _ _

Farah balances on the edge of a windowsill with such grace, you would believe she was standing on the floor not a 5-inch wooden shelf.

I stare up at her from the ground, rubbing at my chin. “Are you sure no one is going to see this?”

“I’m sure,” she groans out with a roll of her eyes, having answered the question at least twenty times by now. “The wards up around the Warehouse mean people only see it as a dilapidated dump, no matter what we do to it.”

“Ok…” I murmur out before sighing. “And are you sure the others are going to enjoy all of this as much as we do?” I spread my hands out to indicate at the mountain of Halloween décor that covers nearly every inch of the outside of the Warehouse.

I didn’t realise we had bought so much, but it seems like we got every Halloween decoration available for sale.

Garland-like webs of black cloth web from window to window, pumpkins create tiers of orange and yellow piles along the ground, the wings of the plastic bats’ wings shiver in the breeze as they cascade up the side of the brick, and anything not plastered with a specific item has been clouded with orange, purple, or green glitter.

But the main feature of the display we’ve spent all afternoon putting together is the 12-foot plastic skeleton Farah is now attaching with twine to make it look like it’s clambering up the wall of the Warehouse.

“Sure they will!” Farah calls, sounding more hopeful than certain. She glances down. “Catch!”

My heart leaps into my throat as she jumps with grace from the windowsill down towards me. My arms shoot out on instinct, and she lands in them perfectly.

“Well done,” she praises, leaning up to peck a kiss to my lips as I try to calm my rush of adrenaline.

“Talk about a trust fall,” I groan as I release her onto the ground.

She remains pressed against me, her arms wrapped around my neck, as she smiles up, eyes shimmering. “It wasn’t a trust fall when I knew for sure you’d catch me.”

If there’s one thing I love about her most, it’s just how much she really does trust me. But there is far, far more than just one thing I love about her.

“I think we did good today,” she remarks, turning to look over our work.

I nod, keeping my arm wrapped around her waist. “I agree—”

“What in the all-mighty hells is that?!”

We both flinch at the high-pitched yell and swing around to find Nat staring at our Halloween spread with despair crushing her features.

Morgan snorts a laugh. “Impressive. I think you’ve actually managed to give a vampire a heart attack.”

Nat’s despair creases into annoyance. “We’ve been gone on patrol all afternoon, and this is what you got up to?!” She flings an accusatory hand out to the Warehouse.

Me and Farah glance at each other with shrugs before back to her.

“You said we could decorate,” I remind her.

Her lips purse into the tightest pout. “I said you could decorate tastefully. Tastefully. This is—Oh my word. Look at it!”

“I think it’s awesome.” Farah grins at our work.

“Ava—do something,” Nat pleads.

Ava draws in a breath and glances around the group. “I am heading inside.” She pauses and eyes us. “Does it look like this inside?”

I shake my head. “Not yet.”

“Good.” She continues on.

Morgan skulks past us a few seconds later. “It’s pretty good,” she states with a nod as she goes.

Nat continues to mutter things in a language I don’t understand…but I’m pretty sure it’s not praise for our display.

“Well, I love it,” Farah announces, bouncing onto her toes to kiss me again before mischief glitters like fiery embers in her eyes. “Now let’s do my room!”

A few years back, you matched people up with members of ub based off of their likes, dislikes and characteristics. You replied to mine and said without a doubt farrah! Now, when I read scenarios like this, I think dang, she was right. Lol

I love this one so much LOL! All of their reactions, absolutely golden. Of course Morgan thinks it's funny. Of course Nat hates it. Of course Ava is choosing to ignore it LMAO
