CHOICE: Gesture at SUV. "I'm getting you out of here. Now."

I frown deeply as I examine Adam/Ava's hunched, pained posture with a quick glance.

"I'm getting you out of here," I state, jabbing a finger towards the vehicle we just exited. "Right now."

Surprise breaks through his/her discomfort before he/she breaks into a laugh that catches me completely off-guard.

"Is that how I sound when I order you about?" he/she teases, the pain still prickling at his/her features, but his/her gaze too soft and warm for me to notice.

"Well…yeah," I reply.               

He/She draws in a breath, a rare smile remaining on his/her lips the captivates me completely. "I would obey if it were too much to handle, but I can manage."

"You don't look like you can," I state while folding my arms.

He/She steps in closer. "That was before I knew how concerned you were for me. That has…helped ease my suffering."

I blink, his/her words slipping through me like a warm drink that revives my soul.

"If you won't leave, then at least let's get this done quickly," I state, clearing my throat and adding the previous strength to it, even as my throat goes dry. "Then we can get you all away from being so close to the solar magic."
