Mason/Morgan curls an arm around my middle and sidles up beside me. "I'll notice you. Anywhere we are, sweetheart/handsome."

A smile catches me that I can't stop. "That's very—" The word 'romantic' almost spills from me. "Very thoughtful."

He/She shrugs. "It's how it is. How it always will be."
