Roque

I would say my MC went from a very serious no games kinda person to a laid back and chill guy.

Brady Brown

Personally, I think my MC is her mother's daughter, but instead of her rigidity it's more of an unflinching, charming smile. However, as time goes on, more and more cracks are showing in that mask - she's starting to wear down from the constant targeted danger and pressure of being the "reason" why so many are being hurt

Gravy Boat

My MC has grown to really detest bobby, would love to just feed her to my vampire posse and be done with it

Mar

My main MC is more grounded now, more connected to wayhaven and to her friends there and especially to herself. She had such wanderlust, lived each day with such zeal but perhaps too much of it. She’s grounded, she’s content. More connected with her mind and body, coming to the realization and accepting that her body has been altered by Murphy, Li-Sar. New coping mechanisms, new strategies, new ways forward And as for her heart, she found the love in Nate that she wasn’t actively looking for but happy to have found.

Emma

My Ava route mc started out very stubborn and rigid. I think getting to know unit bravo and feeling safe with them has made her softer. And having to deal with Ava being so hot and cold, my mc has become more patient (she will wait for Ava even if it kills her 🙏)

Jason Bond

Jason is the opposite of Roque's MC. Started out laid back but is now more serious and intense after what he's gone through. Farah helps him relax though.

Hmm I think my MC is feeling like he belongs more than he did before. I think before he didn't really have any sense of what to do in the future and was sort of wondering what to do with his life. Now that he's part of the agency and has unit bravo in his life, he feels like he's part of something, which has calmed down some of the existential questions in his mind.

Adam!MC: Secrets pissed her off in the beginning....and now she's starting to do the same things Rebecca would have done. 😬😬😬 Farah!MC: Was always a sarcastic twit (affectionate) but now that sarcasm is a coping mechanism for the stakes getting higher and higher (she's my only MC where I have her save her LI instead in Book 2) Nate!MC: She's working on being more approachable. Didn't want much to do with Bravo in the beginning but now she can't imagine her life without them. Morgan!MC: Will always wear her heart on her sleeves but even she is having her limits being cheerful.

Mary

My Nate MC has changed so much. She is trying to mend her very strained relationship with her mother. She is opening herself up to Nate and welcoming love after being burned by Bobby. She is trying to be less sarcastic but that just won't go away. She is more willing to work with the team instead of trying to handle everything herself.

My A MC is getting more closed off and pessimistic. My N MC is getting more argumentative and rebellious. My F MC is getting more outgoing and playful but also protective. My M MC is getting more confident and optimistic.

Both my A-mancers have developed in opposite directions: one of them was doing well, and is now doing terribly (divided between figuring out these new powers and upset/confused with A), and the other was doing terribly but is now doing very well (felt unsure about their place in the world before meeting UB and falling for A)! The rest of my detectives for the other routes are doing fabulously without having had to change too much (mostly anyways, thank you M, N, and F routes) - except for my very nice, friendly M-mancer who is horrified at the damage these new powers can do, and worries she may have to be distant with the ones she cares about in order to protect them. Oh! I do have an F-mancer that was initially slow to trust and absolutely terrified of the vampires. He's slowly grown out of that since falling for Farah!

Not necessarily answering the question with this comment but I just wanted to share that I love learning about everyone else's detectives! I like seeing how the MCs have changed after the things they have been put through...

xXNightSparrowXx .

My detective started off fine but then the events with Murphy started getting to him and Adam's wishy washy here then not behavior is starting to drag on him. The explosive new powers also forcing him away don't help, but he's holding onto that fraying string of hope so tightly. I haven't gotten around to Felix or Nate's paths yet, but I am itching to get there. Mason's detective is fine, brushing off (read: repressing) most things, but he's starting to feel the ground fall out beneath him and is becoming less sure about himself.

Barghest shadows

My detective has always used his charm and sarcasm to keep people at a distance, fiercely independent (thanks Rebecca) and a little paranoid (thanks Rebecca and Bobby). But since Murphy he's allowed himself to trust unit Bravo especially Mason and Adam. And whilst he can and does work with Rebecca he's still not going to be forgiving her anytime soon, if even, he can really hold a grudge.

Sphinx

My MC went from being extremely independent and cold to slowly allowing people into her life now that she knows her mother had a legitimate reason to keep her distance. Book 3, and now Book 4, are bringing that isolationist behavior right back but this time to protect others instead of herself. She's going to need more character development, lol.

So, My A-romance MC has gone from being super charming and happy and bright to slowly losing some of that because she's genuinely scared because everyone just wants her blood and the person she wants most for comfort just broke her heart last book (: My N-romance MC has become more confident in himself and trying to balance physical training while being extremely knowledge focused. Also just accepting that blushing and stuttering are his go to flirting with N because he will never get over how breathtaking she is to him I dont think my F-romance MC has changed that much besides just continually wanting to expand their knowledge as they learn more about the supernatural And my M-romancer has no idea that she's changing as she goes from extremely agressive and stoic to actually claiming Unit Bravo as part of her family and starting to realize that her feelings for M are becoming complicated but her solution is still "if I don't think about it, it's not real"

My M-mancer finally freed himself from his situationship with his ex Bobby only to fall into one with Mason 🫣 So not much has changed for him…

Isa Iara

My main mc Isa combat/people person who thinks that Ava is just the best thing since sliced bread… She almost always had confidence to speak with people or throw down if needed… But since book 1 and Murphy… book 2 and the trappers… her friend taken because of her… book 3 and the kidnappings… and of course the kiss with Ava and that whole angst driven romance…. She has grown very hesitant… and lost some confidence… She is extremely traumatized over what Murphy did… has haunting nightmares… feels like most Of what happened in book 2 and 3 as her fault… wondering if maybe it would be better if she allowed the agency to “lock” her up so she can’t be used against anyone else… and of course… Is unsure exactly what to do or how to interact with Ava anymore… Good?

This is a fun question! I’ve noticed that MC was very friendly and passive but by book 2 and 3 she makes more decision and is not as overwhelmed by situations. It’s been fun seeing her take things in stride and be more confident. For a while she kept trying to always fight her way out so she could be like the rest of Bravo, but now she goes with her other strengths because she can do the most with her people and deduction skills.
