It was an odd week this week, lol!

I’m not sure if it was the bank holiday on Monday that set everything off, but it really was all over the place.

Still, despite not being able to get my head around the days, I managed to get the editing done and began looking over the plan for the next chapter, which I’ll be starting today!

This chapter, like I said last week, is the last one before the endings!

And this is the chapter I’ve had the most back and forth on this whole process, especially the closer I got to writing it, lol.

It’s not a difficult one to write—which was kind of the point, as it’s supposed to be a lovely romantic time before the major hecticness of the endings. I’ve needed a couple of those chapters this book because I really did bring the melodrama I love, lol!

But the calm of this moment is also kind of the issue.

I’m really worried it’ll break up the flow of the drama and intensity that leads in towards the endings.

So, I’ve been super back and forth on it… but I’m adding it in. Wayhaven is a romance, and the more I can fit in the better, hehe! Plus, it really does happen at the right moment. Things fall into place perfectly for some time with the LI to occur, so why wouldn’t they take to opportunity to spend that time together?

I’m very excited to get started on these scenes though, as I super love them even with my indecisive about the vibe matching the flow of the rest of it. And a couple of them really set up what’s gonna happen in Book Five… ;D

The Update+ this week…was super hard to pick! I really loved so many moments, but we’re at the point where everything is super-duper seriously spoilery! Even just a couple lines can give away too much!

But I managed to find a fun M one that shouldn’t spoil anything, hehe! :D

"It seems like more than just the start of a plan, sweetheart/handsome,” Mason/Morgan replies with a nod. "But…."

IF NOT OPTIMIST

My smile falls. "No. I don't like that word when I'm feeling a rare burst of optimism."

"Sorry. But there is a potential pitfall to this strategy," he/she says through a sigh, shrugging one shoulder.

IF OPTIMIST

My smile falls. "No. You know I don't like that word when I'm having a burst of optimism."

"I know. Sorry. But there is a potential pitfall to this strategy," he/she says through a sigh, shrugging one shoulder.

Hope you all have a really wonderful weekend! We’ll be offline as usual, so I’ll talk to you on Monday <3

My English teacher always said the best way to build tension is to give it little breaks. Otherwise the reader becomes used to the tension and it doesn't hit the same way. I'm all for a little interlude!

It’s nice to have a romance break before the fall off the cliff (A romance) and into book five! I love this scene with M, especially the “you know i don’t like that word”, shows such a closeness!

Never fear giving us breaks. I personally am NOT a fan of angst, so I need the breaks thank you.

Give me all the romantic moments! Especially if you’re that excited to write them then I’m very excited to read them!

Seraphinite Games

It's all these little, subtle changes that I LOVE putting in for the reader (and me) to experience hehe! :D
