The writing for the endings is done!!!

WOOHOO!!

Oh my word, it feels weird to think the next chapter (the epilogues) is it! After all this time!

And I know I kept saying how the epilogues are doozies and hefty, but after reading through the plans they’re not anywhere near as monster-sized as I had built them up in my head, hehe! :D

They’re weighty, for sure, in an emotional way, but for writing they’re single scenes with an LI or BFF, so not too much variation for having to account for lots of characters speaking, which makes it waaaay easier to write.

So yeah, that was a serious milestone finished this week :D

Though when I got to the ‘ending scene of the endings’, I realized I was going to have all endings lead into this particular scene because of a very important story beat. So those endings I split earlier and had end differently was suddenly not gonna work!

But I went through and managed to work out how to get that moment into the different variations of the endings without losing the impact of their differences!

I also did the last of the summer scenario specials this month! Our first look at a mostly human team, except for their recent Imp addition! :D

My next focus will be editing. The testers have finished their testing on the last chunk of chapters, and I have the edits for the previous chapter from the editor, so it’s perfect timing to do all of that in one, as well as my edits for the endings before sending that off!

Oh my word! I can feel it now. Just how close I am to that ‘The End’!! :D

For Update+ this week, it was another difficult one to choose from the selection I’d pulled. But I can’t resist worried M (as well as an always-loved cameo from Redacted)! :D

"Do you think [Redacted]’s okay?" I ask, my voice hitching.

"What?" Mason/Morgan snaps before following my eyeline. He/She shakes his/her head. "I don't know. I don't care. Not until I know you're all right."

His/Her concern drives the lingering chill of all that's happened from my body.
