Protest, riot, quit 🤔

Alizah

My mc has attachment issues so would definitely cry, argue, argue and then try to make a run lol

MissXis

Cry a little, but like a different unit in a different town? Or would she still be in Wayhaven? Cuz most of my book 3 mcs would take it as a needed break from Adam's magnetism and angst, but definitely an argument would come up if she had to move.

Nathaniel Mayfield

Deal with it. It's his job not life. Also hope it's a promotion to the top tier unit.

Azereth Sopkovich

My mc would try to play it off but be ultimately unsuccessful as the anger and sadness would slowly show through the more they bottled it up.

Ant Lrt

Quit on the spot, it's their vampires or nothing.

Maydayknight

Hmmmm I suppose it would depend of how long the assignment is?? Like if it's just like being sent to help a case post book 3 for a few weeks or whatever, my MC would like some time to sort feelings about the current Ava situation (after the event 😂😭) so he'd go no problem, but if it's permanent he'd probably quit and go back to the station, work with Tina to find Unit Bravo again!!

Roque

I think he would be excited to try it especially if he got put with alpha team I loved them and so did my MC plus it would be great to see Morgan jealous of me having fun with them. But if it was permanent it might make them more sad since he can't be with the girls

Tabitha Berry

Try to maintain composure and go along with it... all the while scheming and coming up with legit reasons and arguments as to why she'd be a more effect asset with UB - probably also roping in Rebecca and A to back her up. *Might* resort to slightly more underhanded means, if necessary (in which case it would be F and M she recruits to help out!)

Jason Bond

I'm with those who would say " It's UB or I quit".

Mar

(I love the community questions!) Answering for my main detective - I think she’d want to vet out the other units, and if she can’t be with unit bravo then she wants to be with a team she’ll get along with. And one that still gets to work closely with UB She won’t be happy about it, considering she would rather still be the Wayhaven detective than an Agent! If she has to, she’s going to pester Rebecca about what works best for her - and will even meet with the Chamber if she has to ☺️

Aetheries

Being that my detective has been doing well at coverups/not getting kidnapped/succeeding at their missions and working with the team in general. It would come off to me a super sus and probably as an attempt to isolate the detective from their allies. Especially considering even on the best of terms they are shady, and with the blood test results leaking, the weapons seemingly meant to directly combat UB coming from Agency vaults no less, and the obvious insider information they got in order to kidnap the agency buddy (not to mention a few other flags) it would seem that their mole would have to have authority and underlings within the agency to gain access to it all which would mean it is not so far fetched to think moving them to a unit more under their thumb might be a thing. So it's time to play along until I can take my allies and vanish. They would really have to sell it for me to buy it for certain.

John P

If it is with Alpha he would accept and make would make a comment about them being man's best friend. Otherwise he would refuse unless Ava(RO) either persuaded him in accepting or pushed him to believe she did not have feelings for him.

Marie Strange

Ooohhh! How fun! I think as long as my F or N MC still got to live in the Warehouse with them it might be alright. There is some interest in expanding those horizons. It could be fun. My M MC would just laugh and say no. She only trusts M in the whole world for real. My A MC would probably feel awful about it, but it would get her away from A for a while which is probably needed since he broke the mess out of her heart. (I secretly need the villain romance for this reason. I'm so salty about it)

Caitlin M

They would definitely not handle it well, though I don’t think Morgan (RO) would either, they’d probably quit or they’d still try to work with the other team but get back to UB

JusBNMe

I think it would depend on which MC I've made--and I've made SO many! My rebellious, aggressive ones would probably be pissy and negative about the whole thing, and possibly even make the "UB or nothing" stand. My easygoing ones would be confused but still be willing to give the new team a try. If *I* were the MC (crazy, I know, but bear with me!)--I mean...my inner child has always been about wanting the world of magic to exist. As much as I love UB (and even if I was in love with one of them)...I would be excited to explore other/all avenues in the Agency. I mean, so long as I'm not being sent into a death trap to get rid of me. Also, so long as I'm not being barred entirely from interacting with UB or my mother, I'd be cool. Honestly, working THAT closely every day and seeing every activity my loved ones do would stress me the freak out. I'd probably welcome the separation a little, ngl.

Dezh (Mason-mancer): It depends. If this is the latter third of b3!M, she'd dig her heels in and tell them she's not doing it, refusing to give in until they agreed to let her stay with UB. If this is during a cold-M stage, where he's ghosting her, pushing her away, or calling her a slam pig, she'd accept the transfer without a word and assume M was the one to ask that she be moved. Z (Adam): After the end of b3? She'd take it, figuring it was for the best. She doesn't see how she's supposed to work for Adam after him stating he's going to keep his distance or whatever. She doesn't see this going well at all, and is fed up with Adam's mixed signals. Jax (Felix): Hahaha! Good luck. She'd be hanging onto Mummy's dress, sticking her tongue out at whoever demanded this and insist she's not leaving (the other team may make her do work, so no thanks!). Triss (Nate): I think she'd just flat out refuse and say she'd quit if they move her. She has no loyalty to the Agency, only to UB.

Ellie

Depeeends. My more angsty, agressive, heart-totally-on-sleeve MCs would pull a runner and disappear to emphasize -"I told you I don’t want this" and do the mission on their own on the down-low. My more in-touch-with-their-feelings MCs would set about charming the new team too and taking over the Agency.

Sphinx

My detective is very by the book and always respects authority, but this would be one order she would not follow. She already works well with UB so putting her with another Unit will set off red flags. Especially with the knowledge of the mole and the info leaks, she would start suspecting the Council and start planning their takedown/exposure.

STAR NERD

Mc one would be furious because, one he hates the agency and feels pushed around by them, and two he really loves Ava but there both being distant but he knows he'll fall apart without her since he's barely keeping up with things as is.

STAR NERD

Mc two would request to join unit bravo full time and leave wayhaven. If that didn't work she would find a way to get international flights frequently so she can follow the unit around and hang with her steamy lover Morgan.

theartistkaylen

I love this question 😂. Short answer - depends on which team and how long. I also have a few detective MCs, so each would vary in response. If it’s unit alpha or victor, I could see all my detectives having a bit of fun with either of those. I love unit alpha so….😬..sorry UB, my detectives and I may jump ship, lol. Ya know, man’s best friends and all that. 😂🐺 Longer answer - My A-mancer, he might do it to give himself some distance from A. He’d be able to continue with A after the events of b3, but it would be painful at times. He’s my most flirtatious/charming detective so he could manage his mask, but the distance would help. I also would love to see A jealous 😈. A hurt my baby MC, so now let the rueing begin. 😂 My M-mancers either wouldn’t care/accept it. Morgan’s MC is logical, so he’d see the opportunity as something to expand his knowledge. I’d love to see him on unit victor with Alima. The tension and drama between those two would be a HILARIOUS. Mason’s MC would ask directly to join Unit Alpha if she had to be reassigned. Otherwise, she would be fine with UB. She, Maaka & Tane would be a riot together 😂. N-mancers - would probably refuse, but consider transferring if they felt N might need the space. 🤔 so long as they could see each other/spend time with each other, they could be okay with the reassignment. Especially if it’s not long term. F-mancer - refuse outright. Maybe consider unit alpha, but that’s it. It’s UB or nothing. Like my other charasmatic/friendly detectives, she could manage if she had to, but her love of Felix would blind her choice. Even if Felix tells her to choose for herself.

ItaLii

All would probably not accept and stay a liaison lol

LDNester90

Mostly depends on if they're still assigned to Wayhaven, but I could see most of them just wanting a decent explanation for the transfer. It would still have quite an adjustment period, and a lot of them would still try to find a way to work with UB. And if not, then caught between the need to follow orders and their selfish reasons. I could see quite a few A-mancers end up finding this as a sort of unintended detox. Anything beyond that depends on their new Unit.

Analisa Villanueva

Depends on the route. If A's route, my MC would be relieved to not have to face them after getting dumped by someone she's not even dating. If N, M, or F, she'd fight it.

Mewsly

Oh gosh that’s a good question! I think my A-mancer and M-mancers would handle it the best. They are people persons and could probably get along with any group. And I think my M-mancer specifically would like being able to prove himself without Unit Bravo! Plus he would love to able to get to know more of the people he works with. And A-mancer could probably use a break from A after what they pulled in Book 3! Plus if the Unit doesn’t mind she can bombard them with questions about what kind of Supernaturals they are! F-mancer… it would be a rough start but I think she would also appreciate the chance to prove herself capable without Unit Bravo around. Depending on the team she might be able to ease in pretty well too! N-mancer… well. If they can appreciate his snark then maybe it’ll be okay, but considering how Unit Victor thought of him aaaaaaaa… he would probably be in trouble. Tho if he got to at least be useful with his tech skills it might end okay!

Cassandra

I'd flat out refuse like either them or no one thanks

Clovermine

I think she would definitely but upfront about her displeasure and question the decision. She would go along with it but I don't thing My MC is particularly loyal to the agency and its mission and would probably quit or at least threaten to do so.

Daisy

My A-mancer would depend pretty heavily on context. Assuming the agency gives them a task they are suited for, if we were talking more than a few months, they wouldn't quit, but they would push to stay. If less than that, they would go and probably do fine in most group dynamics. My F-mancer would be bothered by the Agency's choice but not fully grasp why she is bothered. If it was for an assignment she was interested in and not too far from Wayhaven, she would probably go. If it was a temporary assignment for something she was interested in, she would definitely go. My N-mancer would go out of a sense of obligation. Their relationship could be managed long-distance with lots of accidental Bluetooth-speaker calls. M-mancer #1 would be sad but she's very sociable and wants to be useful so she probably would go and would end up making even more friends in the process. M-mancer #2, if pushed, would quit but her first response is just to not follow the directions. She refuses to admit this has anything to do with how she feels about UB though, and will play it off as an anti-authority thing.

Twilight Katana

He would accept the decision if he had no way to refuse it, but my god he would NOT be pleasant about it. It'll be a mix of how M was in the first book with A's inability to people, but COMPLETELY done on purpose and would reply to any questions that weren't from his beloved unit bravo with massive amounts of snark and sass. If he IS able to refuse it, he will without hesitation, and there would be a LOT of...unkind words said in Russian, German, and French.

Sarah Oh!

I think since rules and protocol are why her mom lied to her her entire life and UB lied to her for most of book 1, being reassigned would give my MC a chance to be conspicuously professional. Revenge excellence, as it were. 😂 Bonus: "team training" and "unit bonding" could be wielded super effectively to get out of all kinds of attempted maternal interactions.

salara

My A and M-mancer MC would flat out say no or refuse to leave the agency entirely; my N and F-mancer MC would cry and go along with it lol

Sharon Steventon

This will have an effect on my MC as well as Mason. We know that he likes to have the MC close so if she was with another unit he would not be concentrating on the mission. I also think that having my MC with another unit will have a negative impact on the efficiency of both units.

Melina

My A-mancer would ask A. for their opinion. Of course they would agree to change... And of course my MC would constantly rave about how straightforward and organized the team leader's work was. And leave little tips for better structure… on crumpled napkins on a desk… I'm pretty sure F. would make an excellent accomplice. And with my M-mancer? He would make sure to report on time, take care of himself and prove to M. that he is always with them, no matter where he is. And of course look sexy as hell... a little jealousy is allowed.

Eve

Oh, all my detectives would be devastated. Even the ones that are hesitant about Unit Bravo have definitely well and opened up by the end of Book Three. Some of them are even in love! My A-mancers would probably find it satisfying to see A squirm, though, especially if the new unit was Unit Alpha...

fallabeau faebelle

I have two detectives I use. Jesse takes after Rook in personality a lot. I have a few romance routes with him- Love Triangle, Ava, and Mason. His relationship with Rebecca is strained, so I think he'd seize the opportunity to exploit this new team a little bit and rib them for info on Mama of Mysteries. He'd totally be arrogant enough to think he could worm his way back to Bravo when he feels ready to "go home". But being a social person, he'd also really enjoy working with a new team for a bit and getting to know them (totally prying for info on his love interest shamelessly as well). He'd also still waltz in Bravo's warehouse to hang out as if nothing had changed XD Fallon is more like her mom. I have her on the Love Triangle route in book one but she eventually chooses Nate and I have a Farrah route with her. She's more a by-the-book sort, so she'd accept the new role with little protests. I wager she'd think "oh this will be great, I can finally get actual work done" but then she'd miss Farrah's paper airplane misadventures and yelling at Morgan to stop smoking in her office. It's way too peaceful without Bravo, and she'd find she can't focus without their noise anymore and be miffed about it! She'd talk to Adam about it at some point bc they're close bc she'd feel bad she can't be productive but she's way too prideful and embarrassed to admit just how much she misses them.

Ellis

All of mine would have pretty much the same reaction "No. Try to force me & i quit so no more special blood for you.". 🤣
