Hey guys, just thought I'd take a few to give you some insight on the dark machinations behind the scenes of Arc Dream Publishing and all things Delta Green. Well maybe not dark machinations. More like fun shenanigans.

First off, 2023-2024 has been the biggest year for Delta Green ever. Several of our books have gone to reprint (IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES and the core rules come to mind, but others too!) I can't stress how incredible this is. In the 1990s, we would struggle to move stock through the three-tier publishing system, today, we can't keep them in stock — and that's thanks to you. Six or more of our books have ridden the top 100 of DriveThru.rpg and many, many (many many) amazing actual plays of our works have garnered huge audiences. Incredible.

Second, we have a TON of things coming down the pike. But when you think of "Arc Dream Publishing!" it's important to put it in perspective. It is basically just three full time guys, and a few other freelancers that do everything. Also, we are obsessed with quality, so we do our best to pump the brakes on "rush to release" that seems to consume so many other publishers. We get one shot at any book, so a great deal of thought and art goes into each release. If something you're looking for is in the queue for release and it's coming too slow for your liking, remember, we're doing everything we can to make that book THE BEST IT CAN POSSIBLY BE. Be patient. Our entire goal is to OVER deliver.

Third, we've signed so many translation deals. French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish and Ukrainian. These will be direct translations of the existing books. Many of these publishers are going to Kickstart their editions in their own country — if you are interested, keep an eye out!

Below is a list of active projects (there are more, and some are not listed). So, where are we at:

  • DEAD DROPS: A new hardcover collection of operations. This is in layout. It contains, Meridian, Presence, From the Dust and Jack Frost.
  • DEAD LETTER: Art is done and it's in layout.
  • THE GOOD LIFE: Art is done and it is in layout.
  • GOD'S HUNT: Caleb's collection of four operations to take place during GOD'S TEETH. Half the art is done, then it goes to layout. I'm working on this now.
  • SHOTGUN SCENARIOS: Cover is done. Shotgun operations are selected and edited. Contracts are being signed and then it goes to layout.
  • OPERATIONAL HISTORY: More than 3/4 of the way done writing wise; this history examines DG from its inception to the modern world, and is filled with operations, NPCs, handouts, artifacts, threats and more. I am doing the art as I write it.
  • MILLENNIUM: Art is more than half-way done (the re-writes and such are finished).
  • AB OVO AND THE DELTA GREEN BOXED SET: AB OVO (an intro adventure for a DG boxed set) is finished but needs me to playtest it before I release it to my Patreon. The cover image for the boxed set is done as well. But this project is currently low priority.
  • PISCES: Scott Glancy is editing this monstrous book and hopes to wrap it before summer.
  • FALLING TOWERS: Shane is writing this book on the fall of the Fate in NYC.
  • THOSE WHO COME AFTER: The sourcebook section of the book is done, and we are working to combine FUTURE/PERFECT in this hardcover as a Great Race campaign to include with it.
  • DEEP STATE: I am writing DEEP STATE (about March Technologies and what happened to the remnants of MAJESTIC). But I just began.
  • OUT OF THE DEAD LAND: A new DG campaign by me, this is my "swing for the fences" now that I finished IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES. It focuses on a single town and the strange disturbances that rock it, which have arisen from alien math.

There are more, of course. If you have any questions about anything, drop me a line and I'll do my best to answer. And thank you, for making Delta Green the best it has ever been.

This is super exciting. Can't wait for more DG!

Ethan Hearn

Thanks, Dennis! We appreciate all you do! Quick question - is an Evidence Kit for God’s Teeth still incoming? I’m looking forward to starting that campaign this Tuesday!

detwiller

All the elements for it exist, so yes, I believe so. I'll check with Shane and post here when I get an answer.

Brent Ault

Delta Green lore is my favorite aspect of the game, I am STOOOOKED on OPERATIONAL HISTORY.

Duran

I really hope by "Alien Math" you don't mean my taxes... cause yeah... thats some scary shit. Love the updates. Transparency is always appreciated. Thank you for all the hard work, I can't wait to read it!

Joe Beet

Cheers for this! I'm slowly pre-ordering all the DG stuff from backerkit as I missed the KS's. Having a rough idea as to what is likley to come up allows me to order them in priority order, as I can afford them, and without missing any out. Hope our collective excitment doesn't pressure you guys too much, and I hope you're taking proper breaks from it all too!

detwiller

It's all good, Joe. We're just happy to be doing it. We work hard, but out of love for the work, which beats the heck out of how it USED to be for me!

J. Tuttle

Congrats! You guys make amazing shit and I'm quite happy to give you a good portion of my nerd money.

Mark Knight

I live in a world of goods that are sold at around 60%~70% complete, uber cheap quality and expecting me to enter a binding, non-arbitration subscription agreement to get lackluster updates that dribble out before being declared end of life and replaced with something less exciting and more expensive. And then there's Arc Dream. Who won't release a book until it's ready. And when I get it, it's rich with detail, crafted to as close to perfection as can be. Complete. A showpiece. There is a huge emotional value to that experience that the world seems to have abandoned, but your products still fulfill. Love what I've gotten so far. Eager for each new package that arrives.

Gus Diaz

Thanks a lot for the update, Dennis. Very excited at all the updates and the news. And happy to hear that Future/Perfect will be added to Those Who Come After!

Sboy

I'm so glad you guys take as long as you do on books. I never have to worry about the quality before I buy anything. can't say that about too many other publishers

Julian Breen

Thanks for the update Dennis. What's happening with the add-on scenarios of The Labyrinth? I know that Schemata is now Hourglass but what about the Language of Stars, Bleeding Darkness, and Undertow?

Dan Hicks

Those all looks amazeballs, but I am particularly excited for THOSE WHO COME AFTER.

Mike Justice

This is awesome to hear Dennis! Last year you released art for A Night on Owlshead Mountain. What's the status on that rewrite?

Alex Gaiger

Heck yeah more spooky math! The Last Equation had a lasting impression on one of my players, I'm looking forward to Out of the Dead Land. Small town America and how DG/The Unnatural has affected it has long been a focus of my ongoing campaign

Harry King

Super excited to see an update on PISCES! My group is made up of Brits (and one French person) and we're waiting for it to come out to run some scenarios on our home turf. Not that we're not loving the American stuff, mind you! We started playing this game half a year ago, and since then every single player has loved enough that they want to give handling a scenario ago (including half of them writing their own) - as previously the forever GM, it's a dream come true!

Toby Whitty

Really appreciate all the updates you give and thankfully I can appreciate delayed gratification. So much to look forward to, thank you.

Mat

Super excited for Those Who Come After - the previews posted here are so useful as right now my players in Masks of Nyarlathotep are entering the City of the Great Race so maybe they will be able to glimpse the Construct :D Also, will FUTURE/PERFECT be receiving rewrites before including in the book or will it be just attached without changes?

Mike Nusbaum

Amazing! Arc Dream continues to have an amazing list of future projects to look forward to.

Mike Nusbaum

Your new project Out of the Deadlands has me very interested. In what ways will it be different than IL (obviously aside from story and all that)?

Breon Halling

Starting a prog rock band called ALIEN MATH

Tobias Wolfram

A German translation? That's so exciting! Can't wait to back it. Very curious who bought the rights - is it Pegasus or Ulisses?

Donato Martiello

Very curious to see how the translations will render all the text in the layout and various clues.

detwiller

Chinese fans made a (I hear) near flawless Chinese version of Impossible Landscapes, I can’t imagine it would be very difficult for the Romance languages.

Andres Diaz-Kirk

I know it's a long way off, and probably too late for my MarchTech focused campaign, but I can't wait for Deep State. Ab Ovo seems excellent, too. Really anything dealing with some of the tantalizing dangling threads left in the Handler's Guide is excellent

afroknot

Are there key differences between the Fall of Delta Green and the Operational History section on "the fall" or do they go hand in hand? (also do we get more info on opera obsidian)

Bud's RPG review

I had been holding off picking up Future/Perfect as I hoped it would be collected in a hardback at some point. Also, a Delta Green Starter Set? That jumps right to the front of my review queue. This *all* looks amazing, and I honestly believe that in the future people will look back at Arc Dream's Output and say "man, those guys were all killer no filler".

Bud's RPG review

Adam Scott-Glancy talked about PISCES recently on my podcast. It looks like it is going to be incredible.

Harry King

Thanks for mentioning that! I didn't know you had a podcast - going to check that out asap :D

Andres Diaz-Kirk

Also, this is something of a side note, but could you ensure that future evidence kits are printed single-sided? The Labyrinth evidence kit is much less usable because it's printed on both sides, even though it advises you to cut out the handouts. It basically means you have to choose half of the evidence to use.

FreeFox

Why not get the PDF (currently only $5 on drivethruRPG) and print out the handouts you want?

Nick Melchior

I’m a bit confused about God’s Hunt. Will the scenarios come out separately and then be combined into a hardcover? Or is the hardcover coming out all at once?

Nick Melchior

I don’t suppose there is a way to preorder the HC and then get the PDFs as they come out? I don’t really want to buy them twice to get the hardcover but am keen to run one of them sooner

Jake P

If Impossible Landscapes wasn't a fence-swinger in and of itself, I can't wait to see what happens in this!

Grady

I appreciate everything you guys do to make the releases spectacular. Any time I see the odd scenario paperback book (e.g. Presence or Lover in the Ice) at my local game stores, I snag it because I know I might not see it on the shelf again!

John Dickie

Is it a coincidence I bought all my Delta Green stuff last year? (Between 10-15 items) 😇

Martin Helmut Jensen

Hey there. i really love your work, and i can't wait to play the campaign God's teeth with my players in our little game club Avalon in Denmark. Thanks to you 3 guys for a magnificent game system that rocks my world. looking forward for those new releases in 24 and 25. PS is it possible that there will be a danish translation in the future.

Martin Oakley

‘It focuses on a single town and the strange disturbances that rock it, which have arisen from alien math.’ “She’s dead, wrapped in Math-stic”

Threefold Brush

This is the good life, indeed. I am so buying 95% of this (save for some overlap like scenario collection which I own separately).
