Nice. You got to love the Indie game.

CarameLatte

I see that slightly forced downgrade with the facial details from frame 2 to 3 lol. How hard is it to make yourself just stop adding details before it's not so retro? Lol.

bluethebone

LMAO yeaaa I can get a tad overboard with details 😂 But it could also just me bein' rough with the sketch before lineart too 🤷‍♀️

bluethebone

OH WAIT HAHAHA I JUST-- OMG WHEN I WAS MAKING THIS PROCESS GIF I MIGHT HAVE ACCIDENTALLY COMBINED 2 FACES I HAD SKETCHED AAAAHHH FOOOOCCKK that's why it looked so "detailed" LMAOOO

Knight_of_Iron

Right up there with Shovel Knight. 😊

Oh my god I love Shantae. Love your old school style. It's giving me some happy memories of when I got into anime back in the day.

bluethebone

Aaah omg that makes me so happy -- to be able to give you happy memories ;u; That means a lot, thank you Zachary ♥

These progress gif of your artwork are always gonna be my favorite to see from ya, I always see a frame in their that I always love not that I don't love the finished product it's just I love seeing you play around with the filters and coloring.

bluethebone

Aww thank you Mr. Lee, and I feel the same too! It's so fun to make and see how my process goes :D

It's always great to see a piece get made from start to finish, thank you! Just curious though, were you ever open to the idea of doing any kind of step-by-step walkthrough of an illustration such as this where you talk about what you did during each step of making a drawing? For someone like me who is still trying to learn how to properly compose a work of art, seeing something like that from you would really come in handy for me. Don't want to pressure you to do something like that if it's not something you're comfortable doing, but I felt it wouldn't hurt to ask since I admire your work. :)

bluethebone

Oh, thank you for asking! I'm actually quite nervous about doing "tutorials" haha;; I was actually trying to teach myself while making this 😅 Perhaps in the future, when I am more confident and have a "stable" technique, then I can provide tutorials :)

Cheese Al Fonte

Okay, sounds good. I appreciate the feedback, and I look forward to potential tutorials in the future :)
