I wanted to experiment and draw my player character in PKMN Shining Pearl in her overalls outfit (but with a little modifications here and there~) ✨

Thank ya'll so much for your patience and understanding. I read every single comment with deep appreciation and heart. It all still feels like I'm living in a dream, a sad dream... it's still all hard to process and remind myself that my dad is gone. But I'm taking care of myself well. Drawing, playing games, exercising, eating well, sleeping well, talking to friends, seeing your support and love -- they've all helped immensely 💙

Do you have any advice for trying to practice the classic anime look?

bluethebone

I usually say to find reference character sheets online (settei) of classic anime and to redline them, break the figure down into simple shapes, and study their proportions. Their proportions are very important.

Harem King

This is really cool advice. Thanks a ton!
