The State Of Indulgence: December 24, 2025 (Patreon)

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate, my pretties, and a happy holidays.
I'm feeling especially wistful and nostalgic about playing roleplaying games with like-minded kinksters, particularly the loose group I play with online with DM Tina.
Most of the big game recaps I've done (Who Let This Sassy Goblin Witch Into Ravenloft?, ALIEN: Fit For A Queen, Starfeeder, and Tomb Of OBLUEteration) have been with that group of Liv, Beth, Mona, Tina, and myself. When the stars align and all of our schedules coincide, we have a ton of fun together.
But it's now been months since we've gotten to play together.
We were planning on playing Gamma World 7e together, and even got as far as a having a fun Session 0 together, but it fell apart shortly after as workloads increased and free time became hard to come by.
We're all working professionals with chaotic schedules, so getting to play together these days is a rarity.
As Aquarius season draws near...I hear the call of my home planet. Momma yearns to return to space.
Which has got me thinking about Starfeeder again.
We're rapidly approaching the one year anniversary of it.
No srsly it was the best game...
I've shared what Starfeeder is all about on here before, as well as how the mini campaign ended. While I'm not a big fan of Starfinder 1e as a game system (way too complicated, so much to keep track of, combat always felt a little off), I adore the world that Tina created for us and how she made the game flow, session to session.
It was fun, campy, melodramatic, surprisingly sexy, and even a bit emotional at points. I've adored every campaign I've gotten to play with these folks, but Starfeeder hit so good. It scratched my itch for outer space and shenanigans, with the perfect amount of steaminess and expansion themes added in.
Nothing else over the past year has satisfied this particular yearning, and not for lack of trying.
I recently tried watching Legend Of Avantris' Stardust Rhapsody: Anthem series, which gets very close, but aside from loving all the shorts and animations, my attention span is fried and listening through on YouTube has been a no go.
I've tried a variety of different indie games on Steam, but nothing is quite scratching the particular itch I'm feeling. Admittedly, it could be because none of these games let you play an 800 lbs space goblin, but who knows.
Finally...I've considered working with Tina to flesh out the setting enough so that I could run a campaign for everyone. As badly as I want to be a player, I'm a forever GM at heart and would gladly run a new campaign set in the same world.
Only time will tell. That and figuring out how approachable Starfinder 2e is.Unless Santa decides to send me the core books, I might need to reach out to Paizo and see if I can work something out with them, because these game materials are pricey.
Either way, I'm wishing you all a very merry christmas and happy holidays. I'll be dreaming of the stars in the meantime~
