Sometimes the most mundane things in D&D can be the most fun. This session was a great example of that, and I had a blast playing through it.

Will it make for a fun recap to read? Well...not to spoil things, but two of our adventurers get extremely stuffed and bloated...so I think you'll enjoy it~

For all the free members and visitors checking this out, you can read through the whole thing, plus the previous sessions, for just $5 by joining Imp Tier.

Let's begin, my pretties~

Three Unchaperoned Women On The Streets Of Dementlieu

Fresh off our victory over the giant leech at the docks of the city, we had just made the acquaintance of Baroness Almera Petit-Grosse, our suspected fairy-napper and only lead to Elvia's missing brother Gingerwing.

She gave us a standing invitation to a dinner party she was hosting. Being three hungry girls, we couldn't resist the offer.

Since it was still early in the morning, we had several hours before we were expected to attend the dinner party. The baroness departed, giving us a formal invitation and directions to her manor house, and informing us that we should be properly dressed to attend, and should see about procuring proper finery, as well as a bath beforehand.

Elizabeth, being of proper breeding and education, was slightly miffed at the insinuation that she was unkempt and poorly dressed...but then turned around and recalled that her companions were a tiefling dressed like a harlot and a scuzzy lizard girl.

We needed new clothes and a place to get cleaned up.

But between the three of us, we had a grand sum of...17 gold pieces. That's bad.

Thinking quickly, I had Elizabeth lay claim to the corpse of the giant leech, asking the nearby constables if there was a reward for its slaying.

While there wasn't, Mademoiselle Ouiseau told us she could make an introduction to the neighborhood butcher and apothecary, both of whom would pay handsomely for the carcass of the monster.

We engaged in some bartering and negotiation, and were rewarded for it.I checked with DM Liz after the fact to get some of the numbers. The giant leech’s meat sold for (HP x 1/2 [40] x remaining success of barter check [3] = 120 gold), while the monster’s anti-coagulant fluids sold for its CR [2] x its rarity value [120 for rarity 4] = 240 gp, for a total of 360 gp!

Now we had 377 gold pieces to play around with.

Flush with cash, we visited an inn and tavern nearby the university, The Bellowing Barrel, where we secured a room for the night (5 gp), as well as directions to a tailors and clothiers where gowns could be procured.

We enjoyed a light meal of fresh bread and a spread we were told was butter (but were pretty sure was just seasoned tallow), then headed up to our room to discuss what exactly our plan was. Once in private, we gave Elvia the run of the place, while we planned to clothe themselves, gather some rumors and information around the area, and attend this dinner party in the hopes of finding Elvia’s missing brother and friends.

Elvia begrudgingly accepts this. She wanted to go herself, but we were pretty sure she'd be in danger if she did, and we weren't sure on how we could smuggle her inside.

Downstairs in the tavern, we discovered the best places to get new clothes and gowns for this evening's festivities, so we set out into the streets of Dementlieu.

Clothes Shopping and Looksmaxing

We went to a high end modiste in the neighborhood named Tabitha Dupois, who ran a dress and hat shop called Chateau Chapeau (how drole).

Here we parted with 350 gp to purchase two adult sized dresses and one child sized dress that were within the current acceptable fashions of the area. Walking around Dementlieu made it incredibly obvious to us that social status and adhering to the latest fashions and trends could literally be the difference between life and death.

It was money well spent.

We had an extended scene of being measured and fitted for these dresses, which involved a saucy bit of roleplaying for all of us, where our levels of comfort with our own bodies were explored.

Snug seemed the most comfortable with herself, revealed to a plump little scaly shortstack beneath her tattered cloak and hood. Shylith made a point of gassing her up about her body, which the tiny kobold appreciated.

Shylith went next, stripping down to reveal that of the three of us, she was the most zaftig and full bodied. Both Snug and Elizabeth both couldn't help but stare a little.

Elizabeth was revealed to be the most slender of the trio, acting bashful and embarrassed to be looked upon like this.

DM Liv made a random roll, and determined that while we were shopping, the nearby university's classroom bells began to ring, sending out a long ringing chime through the town.

The tolling of bells...is what triggers Elizabeth's dark gift; her second skin.

Seeing such plump, budding figures...Auntie Elf wanted out!

I had to succeed on a DC 15 charisma saving throw to avoid transforming, which I just barely succeeded. Auntie Elf managed to assert herself for just a moment, cackling and mean mugging the modiste, pinching her bottom as she made a lewd remark.

Thankfully, Shylith was able to calm the modiste down, preventing us from being kicked out.

As we took our dresses back to the inn, getting washed and changed for our event tonight, Elizabeth breathed a sigh of relief that she'd kept her darker half restrained.

The Big Dinner Party

Dressed to the nines, we arrived at 909 Sweetsalt Boulevard, home of the Baroness. Her manor, it turned out, was a three story monstrosity of opulence; an old colonial style stone mansion built right beside a sprawling park.

In our lavish ballgowns, we had little room for weapons, armor, and supplies. Each of us was allowed to sneak in exactly one item, tucked into the wire of our bustles.

Elizabeth chose her thieves tools, Shylith her pact totem (A Blinsky doll of Strahd, which he communicates to her through). Snug decided she didn't need any items.

We entered the manor right into an enormous foyer with stairs that lead up to the second floor, with pocket doors at the back opening it up into a much longer room, where a long dining table was being set up. There were already almost twenty people in attendance, all well dressed and aristocratic looking. Dinner, it seemed, had not yet been served.

We milled about with the diners, exhausting as much dialogue as we could to gather information. We learned the following (taken from my notes):

Baroness Petit-Grosse throws these lavish dinner parties a few times a week, almost every other day. People assume she must be one of the town's genuinely rich people, as the food and meat is so plentiful.

The dinners are 'all you can eat', and she invites some of Dementlieu's biggest eaters, taking a shine to those with big appetites.

No one attending seemed to know anything about fairies.

Soon after, Baroness Almera Petit-Grosse appeared, announcing that dinner would now be served, and we must take our seats at the table. The three of us were directed towards the head of the table, where the Baroness sat.

But as this happened, a dinner bell was wrung.

Elizabeth rolled a 4 on her Charisma saving throw.

With a twitch and a spasm and a creaking sigh, Elizabeth Drachtimber was cast into the dark recesses of her mind...and Auntie Elf took her place! I put on my best Helena Bonham Carter 'Mrs. Lovett/Queen Of Hearts' voice and proceeded to act up.

Dozens of waiters appeared with silver platters and cloches, laying out enormous portions of delicious cuisine: succulent roast pork, enormously thick fried pork cutlets, savory pies and pastries, fresh fluffy white bread and big slabs of real creamy butter. It was as fattening a feast as the three of us had ever seen.

And Auntie Elf was hungry.

The plan to question the Baroness about disappearing fairies and her suspected hunt for the fey creatures went out the window, as all Auntie Elf wanted to talk about was how good the food was, and how she and the rest of the party could have some more.

To her credit, Shylith did her best to stay on track, but Snug took this opportunity to stuff her within an inch of her life!

Of the three of us, Snug was the one who ended up building the best rapport with Almera. Both of them seemed to have a tremendous affection for indulging other people's appetites, as both she and Almera decided to make Auntie Elf and Shylith their projects for the evening...feeding them as much as possible!

Plate after plate after succulent, fattening plate of decadent French-style and Creole-style cuisine was stuffed into the two women. Their bellies expanding to the point where their corset strings finally popped and their bodices tore open. Snug gleefully fed her two friends, only one of which (Shylith) objected to, however feebly.

After dinner came dessert. Soon the table was overflowing with cakes, pies, pastries, and a mountain of something none of the three of us had ever encountered before: ice cream.

Each of us rolled a d20. All of us reacted well, but Shylith rolled a 19. She loved ice cream, and couldn't resist it.

Soon both Almera and Snug's attention was on Shylith, spooning scoop after scoop into her waiting mouth as she whimpered and moaned in delight.

This gave Auntie Elf an opportunity to sneak away to search the manor for Gingerwing, and while she was able to excuse herself, the three rooms she explored on the ground floor didn't reveal much. Auntie Elf, it turned out, was not especially inquisitive.

Upon her return to the table, Shylith looked like she was stuffed to bursting!

As the dinner party ended with digestifs and brandy, Snug managed to part with the Baroness on excellent terms. We were promptly invited back to attend the next dinner party in two days' time. We all agreed that if nothing else, it would be another opportunity to poke around.

As we left, both Auntie Elf and Snug noticed that a great deal of the guests were leaving in similar states: overstuffed and aching, waddling away. However, we did notice one couple in particular stayed back and joined the Baroness for 'a surprise final course'.

All we could see about this pair before the doors closed, was that they were especially fat.

We returned to the Bellowing Barrell full-bellied but empty handed. Elvia was particularly disappointed in us and our detective skills, and it took a great deal of convincing to get her to stay with us.

As Elizabeth became herself again, made to suffer the torment of being stuffed to the gills, she realized that this investigation would likely lead to all of them getting much, much fatter.
