A fun and detailed piece for LynnShark, turning into an astral displacer beast.

Some environmental storytelling in her books on the left...

Full renders are almost always a perfect opportunity to provide a step by step since it's my time to go all out on a piece. Hope you find the breakdown interesting!!

Beautiful! And thank you for showing the step-by-step on this one - it's always cool to see just how much work you put into the lighting and perspective (I often just think "WOW this looks realistic and dramatic" and don't always stop to think about exactly why). It works so well to convey the disorientation, the drastic change in size, and that specific kind of clarity you only get when you realize you've just made a Very Big Mistake. It's lucky that the summoning mishaps in TF art tend to be entertaining ones! I'm curious - what did you use for the star-and-nebula areas? Are they from a photograph, or hand-painted? Beautiful either way!

Thank you so much!!! I LOVE breaking down the process, it's satisfying to get to share that with others :D Aaahh I really appreciate that, ahaha thank you! I'm glad the story was successfully told in this piece~ For the nebula, it's a texture I nabbed off of google, heavily edited then copy and pasted a handful of times until it covered all of the mask of Lynn's markings!

This is a really neat break down. The amount of thought that goes into each piece is incredible.
