π ACTIVATION EXERCISE 10: Your Internal Reset Symbol (Patreon)
Content
Find the image that changes what happens next.
Your mind responds to images faster than it responds to words. That's why cravings, fears, and compulsions can feel so immediate. They arrive as sensations, images, or impulses before a complete thought is formed.
But the system works both ways. If an image can activate a pattern, an image can also interrupt one.
In this exercise, you'll find a symbol your mind can associate with pausing, returning to the moment, and remembering that you still get to decide what happens next.
WHAT TO DO
Find a peaceful place to sit. Close your eyes. Take a few deep, cleansing breaths. Relax your face, your body.
Once you're nice and relaxed... intend for a symbol to come forward to the center of your mind.
Don't hunt for the image or pressure yourself to come up with something profound. You're not designing the logo for your subconscious mind.
I just want you to notice what appears.
It might be a shape, a color, an object, a doorway, a landscape, or something strange that makes no logical sense. Anything goes. You're looking for the image that creates that internal click. The gut affirmation of: βYes. That one.β
As soon as it appears and you feel that reaction, open your eyes and draw the symbol.
The drawing doesn't need to be good. It can be genuinely terrible. Nobody's grading it. It just needs to be specific enough that you can recognize it and remember it.
FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS
Whenever you notice the trigger feeling from Exercise 8, take the three breaths from Exercise 9. Then bring your symbol into your mind and hold it there for one full breath.
TRIGGER FEELING β 3 BREATHS β YOUR SYMBOL β 1 BREATH β PROCEED
That's it. You're creating a gap between the trigger and automatic response. The trigger appears. You breathe. The symbol comes to mind. Suddenly, the old pattern is no longer the only option in the room.
The symbol is not here to explain your entire psyche. Its job is to interrupt the pattern.
