The chemistry between Earl and Val is so fun, you feel like you've known them your whole life after watching the first 10 minutes of the movie. It's mentioned a few times that graboids have a foul smell, I really wanted Carolyn to call them 'stinkers':)

Crimson Ace

"Well, luckily it can't take the whole car." -- Nanolyn (before the Graboid took the whole car, lol) This film is set in the fictional town of Perfection, Nevada... and it was mostly filmed in California. The success of this film inspired Billy Crystal to hire director Ron Underwood to direct City Slickers (1991). The Graboid POV shots always remind me of JAWS... and the National Geographic reference seems to support my hypothesis. Producers either removed or overdubbed approximately 20 F-bombs to move from an R rating to PG-13. This move gave us incredible gems like "There are two more motherhumpers."

Totally Whatever

Yes, you are so right with the Jaws comparison!! I think the "motherhumpers" and other words makes this movie even funnier!

Totally Whatever

We totally agree, their relationship is almost like a brother dynamic. Stinkers would have been a perfect word to call them, we will have to remember that for the Tremors sequel!

Harvey Lee

Tremors filmed in the fictional town of Perfection in some ways you can say this movie is a nearly perfect script it tells you the story it does without any wasted dialogue or scenes it is a fond tribute to 50's style monster movies . Kevin Bacon at first thought this was the end of his career but since it's release it 's developed a cult following and he's grown to be really proud of it .😄

Totally Whatever

We would watch this one again right now! I'm glad Kevin Bacon has grown fond of it.

I originally found your channel from YT reactions like this one, you're a lot of fun. But Tremors, I'm just seeing that there are bunch of sequels, I've seen the second one with Fred Ward "Earl", and it was pretty good. But I have to check out the rest of them, I'll let you know if they're any good, my expectations are low honestly, but who knows? Michael Gross is still the Dad from Family Ties to me, which is what makes Burt so ironically funny to me, I love both characters for different reasons lol

Totally Whatever

So happy that you found us!! Yes, please let us know. We really want to see the second one.

So a little bit of back story on this one. This was the movie that apparently caused Kevin Bacon to have a little bit of an actor's midlife crisis. His career had kinda stalled by the end of the 80s and he had taken this movie because he needed the work. Supposedly he had a breakdown one day because he couldn't believe he was starring in a movie about giant worms. But over the last few decades the film has become so beloved by the fans he finally got convinced to accept the movie for what it is and his character. There has been a long held interest to get Kevin Bacon to come back for an official sequel but they have never been able to settle on anything.

Totally Whatever

I could see how that might cause a breakdown; it's a pretty wild movie. I'm glad he has accepted the movie now - it's one of our favorites.
