I am about to watch........I hope you enjoyed it, but most reactors don't, they think it's campy, im middle-aged and grew up with it, so it's an all-timer for me........... please skip part 2 at all costs, worst big budget sequel ever made, and this is from a fan who loves the original

Jeremy V.

Oh wow, I’ve been looking forward to this. I’m at work now, but this is what I’m watching tonight! Bravo girls this is gonna be a great one.🥸

Mr. Writhms

There can be only TWO! 😁

Totally Whatever

Thanks, there was a lot to like in this one. It may be a tiny bit campy, but that makes it fun!

Harvey Lee

I 'm at work but i know i'll be watching this later

Harvey Lee

I know I'll be watching this Campy classic after work 😀 I recall this from VHS days 📼 I 'll forgive the butchered accent from Christopher Lambert ( my Scottish accent is better trust me😉) With great fight scenes as I'm intrigued by these things , Clancy Brown , the always amazing Sean Connery with a soundtrack by Queen There can only be one ⚔️✊

Wraijth

Highlander is a classic but God, whatever you do, don't watch the sequels. The original theatrical version of Highlander 2 is pretty much the worst movie ever made in the history of cinema.

Wraijth

The Kurgan may be a barbarian and a psychopath, but curiously he always speaks with perfect grammar. Clancy Brown is a very nice man in real life. After the church scene, he returned and apologized to everyone for his character's behavior.

I haven't seen Highlander in quite a while so it was nice revisiting it with you. Losties know Clancy Brown as Kelvin Inman☺️. Cool Goonies shirt ☠️. Thanks for the shout out ☺️

Totally Whatever

Thanks for revisiting it with us. Carolyn bought me the Goonies shirt, she such an amazing sister. — For some reason the autocomplete on my phone wanted me to write annoying instead of amazing. 😆

Mark M

I heart when that happens. I mean hate😄😆

The sequel movies are terrible. Most fans just pretend that they do not exist. However, "Highlander" did spawn an enjoyable syndicated TV series ("Highlander") and a second spin-off series ("The Raven"). The TV series is one of those that we were talking about on another post: I'd like to watch it again with you gals, but it is 6x full network seasons (100+ eps), so is a big commitment for the channel. Every episode has period flashbacks to a different setting, so I think that you would enjoy it. It was a joint production between Gaumont, ITV, and Reitalia, so each season is filmed half in Vancouver, BC and half in Paris, with some excuse for the main characters to move between them. It is available as 'free to watch" on Tubi, and "Highlander: The Raven" is free on Plex and FreeVee

JAKH

The songs are all original Queen songs written for the movie. The Queen album "A Kind Of Magic" is all of the Queen songs from "Highlander" The instrumental music is by Michael Kamen who was a recurring guest conductor of the San Francisco Symphony. he also did the music for all of the "Lethal Weapon" movies, the first 3 "Die Hard" movies, and "Band of Brothers". He wrote the symphonic accompaniment and conducted the SF Symphony for the Metallica live album "S & M" (Symphony & Metallica) The Kurgan's line in the church "It's better to burn out than to fade away" is a quote from a Def Leppard song.

Totally Whatever

Yes, that would be quite the commitment, but it does sound like we would enjoy it.

Loved your reactions! Epic soundtrack, right? Great action and story. It's dated, for sure, but fun. Clancy is the best!

Totally Whatever

Yes! Epic!! Clancy is phenomenal - I'm still thinking of his performance.
