That was great just as I remembered it. I love how the movie toys with the idea that Oliver is innocent and it's all in Faraday's head(Carolyn was having none of it😉). The opening scene grabs you right away. I'm not sure if you watched this before watching Gladiator but the actor who plays Grant also played Lucius.

Ha ha, you can't pull a fast one on Carolyn! We watched this one before Gladiator. We didn't make the connection that he was Grant. That kid is an amazing actor.

This was the second or third time I have seen this movie in the last 20 years. Not a bad watch. Pretty thrilling. - Carolyn was suspicious at once - It is obvious the fictious St. Louis Federal bombing was based off the 1995 Oklahoma City Murrah Federal Bombing. The whole FBI mishap is also based off of Ruby Ridge and Waco. In the midst of the happiness of the 1990s, we sometimes forget those nasty events. -It is hard to watch some of these late 1990s thrillers that deal with terror after 9/11, because that real event knocked all of these fictional ones out of the water. Watching this 1999 film today, we know what was coming just two years later. - Even though I only saw this once or twice, I remembered that Joan Cusack jump scare was coming because it was so great - I like Carolyn's new term "Jerky Jerkfaces". Good reaction!

Ha ha, yes - Carolyn was immediately suspicious! I'm a big fan of "Jerky Jerkfaces" too.

If you're ever in the mood to watch Tim Robbins play another unconventional type of character, check out Jacob's Ladder (1990). Mystic River would also be a good one to see, although that one is from 2003.
