Can't wait for this one, but have to.

These are so great! I hope you enjoyed them as much as I do.

There's a lot in the book that didn't make the mini series, most doesn't matter, but Fran's pregnancy should've been better explained. She split with her boyfriend / the father just before the outbreak happened. He was called Jess, bit of a dick tbh, but shoulda made the show. The Rat Man was in the arcade in New York when Larry called his local in LA standing next to an Arkanoid cabinet.

12 minutes into the episode is the most 90s fashion thing in the world and yeah, SK is there at 17

I knew about the novel having seen it in my local library growing up. I saw the miniseries first and finally read the novel years later. They did a good job adapting it but I agree that Fran's pregnancy could've had more added to it here. There was more in the book with "Trashcan Man" but I remember one part being very uncomfortable.

AdrianF

The part you remember with Trashcan Man I agree. I don't think it was in the original book release, edited out.

I think the actor that plays Harold does an AMAZING job in this series. He is a geeky, awkward teenager that has been fun of and all of sudden he finds himself in a situation with the woman he has loved as a crush, she shows him affection then she betrays him, then Stu who promised NOT to move in on him betrays him, and then he has been a leader of the main group and he is left out of the committee so everyone has betrayed him. Now that was HIS reality. Fact is no one really betrayed him but as a teenage boy how could he see it any different. He is looking for belonging, for someone to treat him like he thinks he deserves to be treated. And there is Flag.

We thought we might be missing some things. It can't be easy deciding what to include. Seems we would prefer not knowing the trashcan man part.

You didn't miss anything. This isn't quite the version I saw back in '94. That version had Annie pregnant by her boyfriend, before the plague. In fact, I seem to recall other things missing as well. Still a great show and I'm glad to be watching with you guys.

We've really enjoyed it. Thanks for explaining the pregnancy a little further; that had us confused.
