Axel Foley is one the greatest characters ever created! By far one of my favorite Eddie Murphy films. Fun trivia: Gilbert Gottfried stated he and Eddie Murphy improvised their dialogue after Axel brings up Sidney Bernstein's parking violations.

I like BHC 1 and 2. 3 and especially 4 really didn't do it for me. But Eddie Murphy is always great. But I'm getting SO tired of them having to wreck police cars. The first time or two it was funny. But it seems like a requirement for any cop movie now. You should check out some of his SNL skits like Buckwheat or James Brown. Trust me. :)

Back to back Tony Scott movies. Awesome 👌

Some 80s movies are so fun to watch specially the comedies & action ones when they are made right. When I was young watching this movies I wanted to be a cop, but unfortunate it didn’t happened for some life events that being said I would like to recommend more cop movies; they are Judge Dredd from 1995 & Cobra from 1986. Cobra is some what cheesy but there is someone from that movie that is in this one.

Mister Robinson’s Neighborhood.

Have you guys seen 48 Hours? One of the best, if not the best, of his movies.

Mark M

Yes to both movies! Billy even had the Cobra poster on his wall!

Totally Whatever

We thought there must be some improvisation in those scenes!

Nanette & Carolyn are shimmering, glimmering, gorgeous goddesses

Beverly Hills Cop 2 is fun but it's a step back from the first, like how do we get Eddie's character back to Beverly Hills, fish out of water story again, Eddie's still Eddie, but best thing about this motive is the great Dean Stockwell,he was Al in quantum leap,a show y'all should watch for sure

This was a fun reaction to watch along with! - The music was great. Out of all of his great songs through the years, "Shakedown" became Bob Seger's only #1 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. - His boss, Douglas Todd, played by Gil Hill, is absolutely hilarious and was a real Detroit police officer. - I concur with you guys about the sunglasses. You can see how styles changed year by year during the decade because this movie and the styles seem to scream 1986/1987. - Brigitte Nielsen was married to Sylvester Stallone at the time of this movie, and she stars with him in Cobra (1986), which was the original script for Beverly Hills Cop in the early stages when it was going to be a non-comedy film and star Stallone. I recommend Cobra (1986). - Beverly Hills Cop 3 is a must see, but it was definately the weakest of the film series. The third movie was directed by John Landis, who directed Eddie Murphy in Trading Places and Coming to America, and the mood of the film is more campy than the first two. However, I found the new 2024 Beverly Hills Cop 4 to be a worthy sequel. I recommend both. - I love how Nanette was waiting to see who killed the final villian and saved Axel, even wondering if it had been the horses HAHA. I always thought that was a good fakeout for the audience. Everyone assumes it was gun-crazy Billy until Taggert walks into frame. I highly recommend 48 Hrs and the sequel, as well as the other two Beverly Hills Cop sequels. Also, Eddie Murphy did a pretty good action thriller called "Metro" in 1997, also worth a look. Love the reaction!

Thanks, Mike. Can we bring some of these sunglasses back in style? We can start with the 3 of us. We will add Cobra and Metro to the list. We will definitely watch Beverly Hills Cop 3 - directed by John Landis, wow! lol - that was a good fakeout at the end.

The red movie poster in Billy's house was Sylvester Stallone for "Cobra"
