Another title where when you see it... All you can do is laugh!!!

Thank you for reacting to this forgotten gem. It's really hilarious. But it didn't make it on TV for very long. I guess Airplane! and Naked Gun series saturated the people on this kind of humor. My favorite parts are where the guest star is shown for only a few seconds at the start, when Lincoln shoots back at John Wilkes Booth, the lab guy and the shoeshine guy. It's always been one of my favorites. Since there's only 6 episodes of this, you should consider watching The Adventures of Brisco County Jr starring Bruce Campbell. It's a science fiction western comedy. I think you'd love it. Be well, Greg.

I’m just over here waiting for The Two Towers.

Totally Whatever

The Two Towers will be out in July - we are watching it very soon!

Totally Whatever

We really loved those parts too, especially the shoeshine guy. We can add Bisco County Jr to our TV list - science fiction western 🤌😙

David Zabel

The powers that be were not smart enough to realize that Police Squad was ahead of its time.

David Zabel

I got the entire series (all six episodes) on DVD. Looking forward to watching these again.

MotoDork

Oh dear that’s a long time. I shall die. But I shall try to live.

I'm excited for The Two Towers as well!

David Zabel

Watch Creepshow for Halloween. He plays a very convincing villain in that.

Wade Wallenstein

These are so much fun! I've never seen these so it's been great. Johnny the shoe shine guy was Sefelt in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I would highly recommend you see ZAZs first film - KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE (1977). This film came out of a sketch comedy theater group in Los Angeles. They would do parodies of commercials of the time period. Often they would stay up all night watching late night TV and taking notes on all the commercials that would air. That is until the invention of the home VCRs. Soon the were setting the machines to tape all night so that they could watch at a decent hour and re-watch. This made for better sketches because they could stop the tape and discuss them or take notes. On one such night they were taping all the late-night commercial and happen to tape a film called ZERO HOUR (1957). This film became the basis of AIRPLANE (1980). In fact AIR PLANE is almost ZERO HOUR shot-for-shot. It was so close that ZAZ and Paramount bought the rights to ZERO HOUR.

We would love to watch their first film; great suggestion. We also have Zero Hour on the list. Smart of them to buy up the rights!
