Next chapters may or may not be delayed due to loss of fingers in an accident that is very much not related to this purchase.

Edit: someone asked for a pic of the blade:

Zachary

As a person with a lifelong love of swords, and who just recently got my first actual factual live-edged bladed weapon, kudos!

SDCard

Nice sword! Is it a replica of any specific kind of sword or just a random, cool looking one?

QuakDoktor

Nice always wanted a sabre

SomeRandomGuy

Duel! We must! To uphold the honor of teh chapters!

Gears

Just be careful, don't say fuck you while wielding it or you might destroy the world

TroubleFait

Now you can go fight zombies and skeletons!

Manlor

You don't NEED ten fingers. You should still be good to go with three per hands. But typing may be slower.

RavensDagger

I have a deep and long-lasting love of Renaissance-era swords. This is a small-sword replica!

HikinBear

So if someone tries to interrupt your writing, you have... options? 😎 Nice sword! Enjoy!

Thomas Heaton

Was this made using a more traditional process, or with more modern metallurgy?

Coleman

A noble sacrifice for the greater good.

Shaman

Is it sharp or dulled, sturdy or flimsy?

Wtcher

\o\ \o/ /o/

Cyrus McEnnis

I'm glad that I'm in some small way responsible for irresponsible pointy stick purchases.

RavensDagger

This is where all that patreon money goes to

RavensDagger

It's made of... "GB 60Si2MnA" High Carbon Manganese Spring Steel. So I'm thinking modern metallurgy may have been involved at some point.

Thomas Heaton

Looking up that steel I think you are correct, sounds like a good fit for that type of sword!

Genebeep (LadyLinq)

That's fine, you can probably just learn to type with your toes... Maybe.... Neat sword!

Hector Gregorio

How cool, well I just subscribed for the first time here, because of Save and Sporemageddon, they're awasome, but all your works are incredible, one question, is volume 5 of Sporemageddon on hold?

RavensDagger

Hah! No, not quite, I'm just... very lazy about it. I only need to have chapters ready for when Vol 4 finishes posting on RR, so I have lots of time to build a backlog, and that leads me to procrastinating a lot.

Cyrus McEnnis

Well, that and art by all accounts. But what is a pointy stick if not an example of extremely kinetic art?

Hector Gregorio

Ok, thanks for answering, I just had a giant binge of the first 4 volumes and it's amazing, just out of curiosity, I'm perfectly happy to be with Save for now, I love it.

TeaGeek

I’m stealing this description of a sword

TeaGeek

But birds mostly only have three to begin with!

FjeldraevenFreiden

Whatever makes you think that? I am sure smiths in the medieval times were very proficienct working with.... GB samina samina eh eh

Narf

What's the blade looking like? Mind sharing an image? Is it modelled after some specific sword?

RavensDagger

Added! It's based on a smallsword. So fairly thick, double-edged, somewhat pointy. Not very wobbly.

Corvid

Banana for scale?

RavensDagger

5.14 bananas on the blade 6.48 bananas for the whole thing

Corvid

I appreciate your dedication to the sciences

Corvid

I also appreciate just how concerned your pupper is. "Oh lawd, the hooman's doing stuff again. Smile and nod"

Narf

Thank you! Also: DOGGO!

Sean

Oh nice! Balur Arms Side sword?

Drasoini

Ohhhhh. Pretttty. Now drill with it. Drill until your arms bleed and the steel becomes an extension of yourself! For everyone needs a sword!

Corvid

Thanks for costing me somewhere in 600usd range by naming the website.

RavensDagger

Oh no! (I mean, same tho) What did you get? ;p
