Hi, I want the crown jewel.

Context: There is that Marvel Rivals idea I got from the winner. It’s pretty straightforward, but having a 30-second cap complicates things quite a bit. I was trying to decide what to do: do I try to fit everything into 30 seconds by cutting every corner, or do I extend the time until it fits? Well, what do you know - having something really popular makes it much easier to commit to.

What is it going to be?

I want it to be a bit more cinematic, with ad-libs and higher visual fidelity. I want it to be something above the rest of my work - something you can pin and showcase. Basically, that’s the goal.

Previz

I won't put the link here because I want to keep this post accessible to everyone. Instead, it will be posted in the "General" chat; you can find it there to watch the whole thing with my notes on it.

Some parts are more "done" then others, but overall I think the pace and the angles are good, but I might be biased on that. I spent an enormous amount of time going back and forth, making sure it’s as close to my vision as possible.

It’s also "free of fat and clownery" that are often present in my works. Looking back at some of my previous projects, I can't even explain why I thought some of those ideas were good enough to be made.

Yis.I mean, somebody needs to read the script, right? As well as all the "Ah" and "Ooooh" sprinkled in there. I've heard they cost a lot of money, is that true? Can it be over $500 for both? Surely it can't.

Then again, what if I save $500 and then do them myself instead, huh? Shit, $500 is a lot of money.

Timeline

I am still deciding how to organize all of this, the project is massive. It won't take a long time, but it will take some time. I think it’s a bad idea to fully focus on it right now; I think it’s better to keep doing something small while I work on it.

There is one culinary idea I want to try, I think it makes sense.

So, do we move forward with it or fuck it? What do you think?
