Update: My description below is update for the new version of this but I had to take the file back down to fix something. I'll leave the description as is and should have the correct file up in a few hours.By popular request—here’s the purpose-built pencil version of my Can Holder.

This one is sized for a standard 12 oz can. I’ve already posted a skinny 12 oz version (and I’ll be making a small update to that soon and I will reorganize this stuff so its easier to find).

If there’s demand, I can do other sizes as well—16 oz, 275 mL, etc. Just let me know what you’d like to see.

I’m also planning to do a tip-down pencil version and a crayon version.

Design notes

The lid is indexed, so it can’t be installed out of sync with the base

This version does not include a handle, but I do plan to add handled versions

There is no pry/recess feature on the lid—this keeps a cleaner look. I can add that later if people want it

This does require a little support for the lid.

Fitment note

If your lid is too tight:👉 Don’t force it in

Instead:

Adjust scale in small steps (~0.5% or less)

Dial it in gradually for a clean fit

Different filaments can have different fits so it may need scaling adjustments for different filaments

These files do not have my branding on them

This version has not been posted anywhere else

I’ve included both:

3MF (recommended for most users)

STL

As always—let me know what you want to see next or any tweaks you’d like 👍

Crystal DePass

It’s on the printer now 🤗. Thank you

Diane Loughrey

Hello, I printed but the file that downl9ad is the skinny version. Can anyone else verify and help me find the standard?

Deondria Armond

How long is it saying it’ll take if you don’t mind me asking?

Crystal DePass

I just printed and it's the skinny too

Bliz

Pencil holder is 3h21m and the top is 1h25m

Fred

Just printed and its the skinny one. Was the wrong file loaded?

Amanda Brown

printed and its the skinny. also having an issue where once the skinny can is in, the lid doesnt go on all the way.

Ruben Acosta

Yup, it is the skinny. I was like wait a min :)

Crystal DePass

Same with the lid, I am sitting here fighting with itg.

Amanda Brown

Yeah it won’t go no matter how much i try. I needs a few more layers or something to make it a smidge taller

Scott Bullins

yes this is not the 12oz version

Priscilla Palmer

Hi I just printed this 12 oz size twice however, too small for standards can seems like the same size of the skinny pencil.

animuL67

I hate it when I make mistakes but somehow I saved over the files before I uploaded them this morning. Should be good to go now.

Dedra Coop

Can you please make a Chapstick holder to match?

Dedra Coop

I want a Chapstick holder to match as well and a can opener would be great too

Greg Hobbs

My wife is a teacher and asked if you can do the standard koozie in a pencil as well? She would like to print them and give them to coworkers

Diane Loughrey

Just shows you are human. All good and no need to feel bad.

Scott Bullins

Najla Murphy

Is there a skinny can version?

animuL67

yes its in another post, lmk if you dont see it

Layered_Legion

Oh okay cool! That'll be fun with custom colors...

Layered_Legion

I just finished the pencil koozie. Super clean print at .20 focused on quality and print strength.

Amanda Brown

has anyone else had issues with the lid not fitting on the skinny version once the can is in? fits perfect when there is no can inside but will not sit flush once the can is inside

Arcelia Flores

This file is for the skinny not the standard. I downloaded the file thinking it would be standard 12 oz but when printing was done it was for the 12 oz skinny. :(

animuL67

Sorry but I'm so frustrated with this my second version had this issue so I corrected it and it sounds like I uploaded the wrong version. I am going to remove the V2 one for now until I can get the correct one uploaded later today.

Lily Apolinary

This new version (update) works well! I just added a few mm ti make taller. The 12oz can fit well. Ty!

John S

Did you by chance update the Skinny version of the pencil?

Dedra Coop

Please do chapstick holders for these too!!

Boyd

could you make a 16oz one for monster/mother energy drinks

Spud Wrenchy

I’m getting 2 different colors of silver on these Prints due to I’m guessing speed difference of printing material is there a way in Bambu studio to set all the exterior walls to print at the same pace ?

Jolyn Cripps

There's someone on Makerworld that's claiming these pencil ones as their own. Look exactly the same. Clearly are this file. Just thought you may want to know.

Ron Hinkle

would it be easy to make this into 3 parts for the pencil? if I cut it, would it best to make connectors or glue it? not much room for connectors but might work

Rebecca Johnson

My daughters teacher asked about one for 16 oz cans like monster and Ghost. Is that something you might be doing in the future with adding 16 oz versions?

Lori Toms

Help for some reason I cant get the x2d bambu to slice the pencil its acting like the lid has to be close and on the same platform but I cant get the lid and the pencil to be a part someone plz help me understand what I am doing wrong

Andrew Hein

Emily Madrid
