Trademark damage control (Patreon)

TLDR: I need to take this account down: https://makerworld.com/en/@animuL/upload
I am not taking this account down: https://makerworld.com/en/@animuL67/upload
From what I understand the liability on that first account that I listed could drag down the second account or even my Patreon and I don't want to risk loosing everything because of models that are just a fraction of the activity.More info:I’m going ahead and removing models that include trademarked logos or branding.
This is a proactive move on my end. I’ve started to see the first signs of enforcement, and rather than risk having accounts flagged or shut down on MakerWorld or here, I’m cleaning things up now to protect everything long-term — both for me and for all of you who rely on access to the non-trademarked designs.
This isn’t really a surprise. I’ve probably been flying under the radar for a while, and with the growth over the past week, it was only a matter of time before things tightened up.
The good news is nothing changes with the core designs. I’ll keep releasing the same holders and new variants — just without logos or branded elements.
If I’m being honest, this may end up being a bit of a blessing in disguise. The logo work takes a decent amount of time and slows me down from building out new base designs, so this should let me focus more on getting new products out faster.
If you’ve been here mainly for the logo versions, I completely understand if this changes things for you. I appreciate the support either way.
To be clear, I can use Trademark names to describe compatibilty like "fits 20oz Gatorade Bottle" but I can't put their logo on something.
That said, if there’s interest, I can put together some simple guides or videos on how to add your own logos. There are some free, pretty straightforward methods — just a few extra steps once you know the process. In fact this one goes thru much of it: https://youtu.be/G-zvpYMrO1M?si=vdPgbyFJcp3ars0M
At the end of the day, I’m looking at this as a small bump in the road and keeping things moving forward.
More designs coming soon.
