Hi all!

I have done some thinking, and I owe a lot to you guys. The number of you who are here is actually kind of insane to me.

You all have been on my mind a lot lately. The stuff I write is weird and specific and not exactly dinner table conversation, and somehow over a thousand of you found it and decided to stay. That's awesome.

I started this as a small experiment in whether anyone would care about my writing, and it turned into something very real and tangible, and that's entirely you guys. Thank you for being the lifeblood of my work!

More is coming soon, as always. And I know exactly what happens next.

That's all.

Cheers,

Cody

You are a very talented writer and it is very hard to resist a notification that you have posted something new while I am working. I’m not sure what you have planned next, but please, give it to us soon.

Hey Cody— “Weird and specific” is exactly why it works. Not every story belongs at the dinner table… but let’s be honest, there are definitely some dinner tables out there getting a little more interesting than mine. Point is, people don’t stick around unless it’s real—and yours is. And the fact you already know what happens next? Yeah… we’re locked in. Keep going.

Thank you Cody, having a low cost escape has been so useful to me in these sad times. I really appreciate you not only writing great fiction but also creating a community.

Man everyone else beat me to all of the nice comments! Seriously though man. Your writing is insanely good, your plots, ideas, twists, all of it. I can’t count the amount of loads I’ve spent reading your stories. Keep it up good sir! You are worth every penny.

I must confess I've never gotten off to one of your stories, but that doesn't mean I don’t thoroughly enjoy them! It's just so cool to find someone else who's attempting something similar—gives me hope, y’know? Congrats!

When I consider how many friends try to tell me stories, and how they hem and haw and try to cram in every detail they think might make you believe this really happened, and how shapeless the tale is and how much it makes me wonder WHY this person is my friend, I think on you and how well you understand what to leave out, and what's essential but doesn't need to be emphasized, and how often it is that an essential detail works best when it's slightly in the shadows, I think how glad I am to have stumbled onto your stories and met you.
