Hi all!

Something new today. I have created an account on OnlyLit.com/codycroquet and it's linked to my patreon, so you all already have access! It contains the full library of all my stories.

SOME of my posts will only be available on OnlyLit, including this one, and it will always remain fully accessible to my Patreon readers. It's a newer site (that I actually helped develop), so if you have any issues, feel free to DM me and there's a good chance I will be able to patch it up within literally two minutes.

The point of OnlyLit is to have a little more control over the reading experience, since Patreon is more of a "Blog post" interface, which I always felt could use some updating for people who read stories on here. BUT, Patreon is still a great tool and remains the home base for my readers. I will create links out to OnlyLit from my posts here, as needed.

This doesn’t work for me because I use my Apple ID for memberships like Patreon and it creates a dummy email for anonymity. I cannot verify my email as a result so I cannot access any writing. If there is a work around I’d appreciate knowing.

I know this is a bit of an inconvenience, and I tried to make it as seamless as possible. But many creators are having to do this right now, including me, because random posts, that do not violate guidelines, are being removed all the time, and even whole accounts are getting deleted. This helps keep it all going.

Ok here's what you do: Sign in with any email. Go to accounts -> Connect Patreon -> Allow. And it should work!

Cody, I appreciate the update, and I understand wanting to create a better reading experience than Patreon’s blog-style format. I also appreciate that OnlyLit is free and linked to Patreon access. That said, I do want to be honest as a reader. I don’t think it’s fair to place parts of an ongoing story only on another platform when we’re already paying to read your work through Patreon. Even if the new site is free, it still forces readers to jump from one platform to another mid-story, which breaks the experience. There’s also the issue of readability. The black background with white lettering may work for some people, but for others, including me, it’s uncomfortable to read for long periods. I’m used to reading black text on a white background, and that matters when following longer chapters. I think offering OnlyLit as an option is completely fine. Some readers may prefer it, and that’s great. But making Patreon readers leave Patreon to continue reading certain chapters feels like a forced change, especially when Patreon is where we subscribed and paid to access the stories. I hope you’ll consider keeping full chapters available directly on Patreon as well, even if you also post them on OnlyLit. That would let readers choose the format that works best for them without feeling pushed away from the platform they’re already supporting you on. Thanks for listening.

Thank you for letting me know your thoughts. I totally get that. I’m doing my best to make this as seamless as possible. And there will still be the bulk of stories here, and zero future stories will ever break in the middle like this one did. This was a matter of requirement, not by my choice. Everything else will be split fully story wise from one to the other. And like I mentioned in a different comment, there is a light mode in settings! I will keep working to make everyone’s experience better here, I consider it my job to do so.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to manage email notifications, unsubscribe from the emails themselves, or delete account in the OnlyLit site. That’s a GDPR / CCPA issue.

That would be an issue! Are you not seeing the "manage notification settings" link in your email? This site did go through GDPR/CCPA compliance and info is in the terms/privacy policy links at the bottom, which includes data being deleted when you delete your account. I also see a "delete account" link at the bottom of the settings page on my account. If you do not see that or the "manage notifications" link in the email, try submitting a help ticket on the site!

Cody every time I choose Patreon it just opens another window and will not let me continue the story. For some reason Only Lit wants me to pay to join. Im not going to do that. So if you are transitioning to Lit. I'll cancel my subscription. Thanks

I think this was a really interesting ending, and it does feel like a good place to stop the story, but I don’t think they should ever have a threesome because I feel that would be destructive. Too much shallow competition. I think you left it in the perfect spot.
