The V0.4.1 update adds a batch LOD export feature.You no longer need to repeatedly reduce polygon counts manually for each LOD level. The plugin can now generate separate blend files for different LOD models in one process, while keeping the original model completely untouched.

Step-by-Step Explanation

1. Prepare Your Original Hair Model

Import or finish your high-quality hair mesh in Blender.This original mesh will remain unchanged during the entire process.

2. Set LOD Reduction Percentages

Inside the toolkit panel, configure the polygon reduction percentage for each LOD level:

LOD0 → Highest quality (usually 100%)

LOD1 → Medium reduction

LOD2 → Lower detail

LOD3 → Lowest detail for distant rendering

Example:

LOD0 = 100%

LOD1 = 70%

LOD2 = 40%

LOD3 = 20%

3. Preview the Results

Use the preview function to quickly inspect how each generated LOD mesh looks before exporting.

This helps you:

Check silhouette quality

Avoid broken hair strands

Keep clean topology

Compare visual differences between LOD levels

4. Batch Export All LOD Files

Press the export button and choose a destination folder.

The plugin will automatically:

Duplicate the original mesh

Apply the correct polygon reduction for each LOD

Generate separate .blend files for every LOD level

Preserve the original source model without destructive edits

5. Use the Generated LOD Files

The exported LOD blend files can then be imported into your Sims 4 CC workflow or further optimized individually if needed.
