this the the first time in all 8 years of their career they won a mama daesang, this has been their biggest wish since the beginning a daesang is a grand honour award (either album of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, or the fans choice award) this is honestly the biggest award they could ever win

It was the first time they have won Album of the Year at The MAMA awards. And yes they did not know they were winning. Since Stray Kids debuted BTS has won album of the year 2018-2022 Seventeen the last 2 years 2023 & 2024 The last time Stray Kids won anything at the MAMA awards was for Best New Male Artist when they Debuted 2018. At the end the behind the scenes is SKz Talker. Everything on Skz talkers is mostly behind the scenes for awards, concerts, shows, stuff like that.

mama is known to have a bias against jyp artists.. jyp HIMSELF actually called them out a couple years go. stray kids are the first jyp artist since 2009 to win a daesang, which is CRAZY

Same I barely turned the live on my phone while still in the parking lot at work. I literally sat there saying please please please let them win when they were showing the nominees with my fingers crossed. When he said their name I screamed too.

This is like the highest honor award. They’ve never gotten one in their whole 8 years but they’ve wanted it. It’s been a big dream of theirs. They were definitely hoping for it.

9:35 thats why everything with fireworks, songs with burn in it and people that wouldve wear red was canceled so people had to change there whole performance like gdragdon he had a whole performance but had to cancel it i think and burn up by meovv changed to turn up. And some lyrics in enhypens songs was changed too

I think it also means a lot because they know their fans cannot get this award for them. It's not a fan vote, or even partial fan vote. I thought IN crying into Felix's shoulder was so sweet. Normally you would expect it the other way round. Felix is a little bundle of emotion. But that type of person often gets stronger when others are in need - the other side of the same personality type.
