For these kinds of shows im pretty sure they tell the audience to try and stay more calm so that we can hear the artist actually sing since it is live. Im just assuming since in some bloopers when the artist mess up and you hear the audience laugh the artist playfully tell them to shush so they can concentrate

for k-pop performances in korea the culture for performances is to stay in your own space and politely wave your lightstick while shouting the fanchant as loud as possible, that's how they show they're support. it's not so the artist doesn't mess up its really so that everyone in the crowd can enjoy the performance
