This is it. The man, the legend. Mr. Protagonist himself!

So, what’s his deal?

I’m calling him Hazel. That is his default name! 

Sex Valley had a protagonist with no base name, and that kinda annoyed me a bit. I DID call him P-Kun, but that was very much just Placeholder-Kun, as I planned to give him a name eventually and kinda lost my chance. The name Hazel is... uh, me getting attached to the name. It is bit of a relic both from when I wanted to allow the player to choose the protagonist’s gender so the name is a bit neutral and from when I was going wild with the naming convention of “stuff that can be put into drinks”(Hence Lime’s name) from the initial idea for the ELUSIVE SIDE PROJECT(which was a cozy coffee shop game)

I did talk about his design philosophy a few times before, but he is supposed to look like a male leaning androgynous guy. I didn’t want to make him too big or bulky nor girly, so I spent a LOT of time trying to make him look good. My personal metric for deciding if I liked him or not is if I found him hot. I think he is kinda hot, so I guess I did it(?)

On his character... he is a bit more of a person than the Sex Valley protagonist. He has his own personality, even if he is a bit of a simple-minded person. His whole thing is that he is a normal guy, with a normal mind, surrounded by freaks and weirdos. His reactions to the other members being weird are core to his comedic appeal!

Other than that? He is a normal dude, who acts like a normal dude. He is likable, and everyone in the guild likes him.
