So I saw the new trailer for The Flash a few days ago, and I was struck by the next character I had to draw, in Sasha Calle's Supergirl. I know there are some fans out there who wish they had gone with a more classic look for the character, but being someone who never really grew up on DC comics, I don't have a preference, and find this version quite nice. I like how sleek the costume looks, as they carried over that streamlined aesthetic from Henry Cavill's Man of Steel costume design (RIP). Today, as I was putting the finishing touches on the background before posting this, I decided I'd go the extra mile and do a variant with the grubby hospital/lab gown.

Are you excited for The Flash movie? I am remaining hopeful for it, despite being burned by DC movies over the years.

I also grew up with DC and as a child and teen I liked those way more than Marvel, Dark Horse etc. I also look forward to the movie. It is agreat story and I adore the Flashpoint Paradox Animated movie <3 This Kara sure has a different look... but you make me like her even more ;) PS: Who is your favorite DC character? I really want to be special and outstanding... but mine is Batman, cause I am so in love if Batman TAS, bougth it last year on Amazon and this show ages like the best wine <3 ...but I also like Powergil a lot... but for other reasons... ;)

I can't wait to see The Flash; Michael Keaton will reprise his role of Batman. 😋 Batman (1989) is the 1st movie I remember seeing (I was 4 years and half) 😊

It's insane how good this looks!

I'm coming at DC without having read too many DC comics, but I am reasonably familiar with them, and I've watched most of the live action portrayals, and some of the animated features. With all of that, I'd have to say Batman is my favorite as well. I grew up watching Batman The Animated Series, so in my mind, that is the "definitive" version of Batman for me, but I do have a special love for Batfleck and Battinson, despite their unique takes on the character.

Damn, I was negative years old in 1989. But I do remember seeing it as a kid, and that Danny Elfman theme still slaps.

Love how you have her looking here man and, yeah, she was definitely unexpected sight in the flash movie trailer. As for other favorites from DC, I do love an obscure character that only seems to have appeared in the my greatest adventure trade paper series. She's cute and constantly getting into trouble, plus she's always barefoot in every situation! Definitely worth a look for a future work or even a commission! 😆

I do not want to try to pander here, but I see it the same way. TAS Batman is also the way I see Batman, the absolute one. But the last Batman with Pattinson really was a nice movie and I loved the detective view on it. AND I also liked Aflecks Batman, this older, more bruting one who suffered loss and not the crimnals have to pay is amazing... I really wanted that solo movie with him <3 ...and let's not forget Batman Beyond, this was an amazing sequel to TAS (Oh and I know I already said this, but give the DC animated movie'verse a try there are so many great movies <3 ) PS: This reminds me of Batman in this gallery. There is Batgirl and Batwoman (*drool*) ... those need a gallery entry too <3

Every time I hear the opening theme, it chills my spine. But it's such a great sensation ! 😁

OMG dude those feet :O

Oh yes, Batgirl and Batwoman would be fun... Time to add them to my list of "characters to draw before I die".

I'll post it on the discord since we can't attach images here.
