Hey Kayla... I see you, Okay?? 😉

The OP is sung by Kita (red haired one), same voice actor as Lena from 86. She also has a role in Frieren. That one is a little tricky, because unexpected if you know her other characters. You can guess or look it up if you wanna know ;).

I just like how supportive her band mates are of Bocchi, they just good wholesome people. Another anime like that is Shikimori is not just a cutie. All the main characters in the friend group have pretty different personalities, but they still are just hardcore there for each other in a wholesome way.

The drunk bass player btw is drinking Onikoro, cheap boxed sake, drinking straw included with the box! 😝 She also a bit unusually plays her bass with a big plectrum/pick called bachi, which more commonly is used to play the traditional Japanese instrument shamisen. (Same instrument as Kubo plays in Kubo and the two strings if you know that movie)

Csel

Yeah they are all wholesome and accepting of Bocchi. And when they talk about Bocchi being shy and a loner at school they are surprised because they think Bocchi is fun.

Csel

Yay drunk bass sensei is here!

Yeah I had forgotten some of the VAs and then I was looking up Marcille's VA recently and I was like "oh yeaaah!" and looked up the rest. Definitely some recognizable ones there, but they are good at doing other voices so its not easy to tell I think.

Besides the characters being really believable and relatable. I think what really makes this anime great is the animated cinematography. They often change up the art style or choose really interesting or unconventional camera angles. It makes things really dynamic and interesting in an anime that is just slice of life anime girls playing music.

Johan Jörtsö

Their actual playing is also animated really well. It looks fairly realistic, like they are actually playing and not just pretending to, even to someone playing an instrument. Which is not a given even in a music anime tbh. (Since it does take some work to do)

Im really bad at this and never notice, I only know it from reading it else where. But some are just nearly impossible to tell anyway, because of the VAs being good at their job, like you said. Like I doubt anyone ever watched Frieren and said "Oh, isnt that Anya from Spy x Family? XD
