Adan Guzman

Daughter of the most famous person on Earth and regularly defends the city by fighting crime. “How does he know my name?” Everyone on that bus knew who you were, Videl. Celebrities always meet people who know them but never met. If anyone walked up to Kayla, I’m sure she wouldn’t think it’s odd that they would know Animaechan. 😅

So the ages for the characters this current arc to help you out : Android 18 - ~27 years old Bulma - 41 years old Chi-Chi - 36-37 years old Chiaotzu - 36 (35 physically) years old Erasa - 17 years old Gohan - 16-17 (18 physically) years old Goku - 37 (30 physically due to death) years old Goten- 7 years old Krillin - 38 years old Krillin and 18's daughter - 3 years old Master Roshi - 344 years old Mr. Satan - 38 years old Oolong - 34 years old Piccolo - 21 (22 physically) years old Puar - 34 years old Sharpner - 17 years old Tien Shinhan - 41 (40 physically) years old Trunks - 8 years old Turtle - 1,011 years old Vegeta - 42 (44 physically) years old Videl - 17 years old Yajirobe - 39 years old Yamcha - 41 years old The date is Age 774. Vegeta and Gohan are technically older because of the Time Chamber.

I lovee these episodes and was so excited for your reaction! With all the new characters and the old ones changing and aging feels such a new era and definitely love the comedy and SoL here so much. I like how Toriyama seemingly from chapter to chapter went "yeah got bored of the fights gonna make a highschool/ slice of life/super hero/romcom story next" 😂

クリリンの髪型そんな嫌ですか？🤔

when I was a kid I was like Trunks, I thought the whole Great Saiyaman thing was lame, and by that I mean these first episodes lol I didn't like the slice of life vibe but now as an adult it was a comfy watch and it was funny seeing your reaction to the new characters and new looks.

Goku getting chi chi pregnant and not saying a word for 7 years until he heard about a tournament is insane lol just leaving Chi chi desperate for money and more saiyan love 😂

AFLO

If you think about it, Goku was right he was the reason of every villain. He was willing to sacrifice his life for peace on earth for everybody. 7 years of peace. Love the slice of life mini arc with Gohan here one of my favorites of the series. Cell figures are incredible my favorite villain in db.

“ippai oppai boku genki ~♪” from the new opening “WE GOTTA POWER” → In English: “Lots of boobs, I’m feeling great~♪” Every time I sing this part at karaoke, I feel a little shy. 🫣

These chill slice of life episodes are always so good. And I love the new OST for this Saga, especially the one at the beginning of every episode gives a strong nostalgic feeling. Goten is a rare talent for sure to come that far without proper training. But Gohan is one to talk when he was the one to beat the heck out of Cell as a child himself while the adults could just watch in awe.

Gohan's age is not inconsistent. According to his birthday he is 16 but physically he is 18 or almost 18 because of the time chamber.

Personally, I've always really liked these slice-of-life episodes and I don't understand how can some people find them boring. Sure, they are not about Goku, there are no big enemies and big fights, but I think it's great that Toriyama chose to switch to Gohan and his high school life for a bit! The poor boy had been forced into fighting since he was 4 years old and could never had a normal life, so what's wrong if he now wants to behave like a superhero and show his goofy and ridiculous side? He earned the right to do it! Also, I love his character so much because he doesn't love fighting like his father does, and only resorts to his strength when it's really necessary, like when he has to stop bad guys from committing crimes in the city. It's very refreshing that he doesn't fight for fun but to preserve peace and justice, just like a real hero. I was looking forward to these episodes because of all the reveals and things to react to: Videl (I love her) and her being Mr.Satan's daughter, GOTEN'EXISTENCE, The Great Saiyaman, Krilin and 18... of course you didn't disappoint:) Shout out to those Cell figures, they are soooo good!

Super Videl's densetsu no Scissor-Attackü (maximum full power) was phenomenal.

Edman

Gohan must be channeling that Ginyu Force influence lol

Talking about gohan voice actor, in french dub, his voice is Joey voice actor in friends (also future trunks, gojo in jujutsu kaisen, Xander in Buffy) and videl have the voice actor of kid gohan, kid goku, and goten

Toriyama Akira's son (Sasuke) was watching Fiveman, the 14th Super Sentai series back when he was doing the Namek saga, so Akira was totally charmed and even watched some Super Sentai series. He was already an Ultraman fan back in the early 80s, since there were some nods to Ultraman in early Dragon Ball (like a literal Ultraman fish saying Shuwatch) so he has a long story of watching tokusatsu, aside from Hong Kong kung fu movies and Star Wars.
