Actually the Pirates of the Caribbean Disney ride opened in the 1960s. They made the movie based on the ride. A few other Disney movies were made after rides: TomorrowLand (George Clooney), Mission to Mars, Haunted Mansion (with Eddie Murphy), Jungle Cruise (with the Rock)

For some reason I always thought the movie was set in Maine, it has similar terrain and pirates were much more active on the US East Coast and Caribbean. But the Spanish were sailing around California and West Coast, so I guess it could make sense, just not something I thought about when I was younger.

The One Eyed Willy story sounds a lot like the real history of Blackbeard. Eventually the British fleet caught up with him and he went down fighting. And legends say he had a treasure that has never been found.

That was so much fun, had me laughing so hard! Thanks again!!

Also Josh Brolin is younger Agent K in MIB3 and Cable in Deadpool 2. Those roles are a little easier to recognize him in than purple Thanos lol
