I absolutely agree with your opinion about the unfair treatment Piccolo was given here. Still to this day I don't like the way Toriyama and Toyotaro chose to deal with his character in this arc, and I don't understand why they couldn't get him back in the game like Goku did.

i dont think piccolo was being pushed in this around in this scene, he understood it was a personal vendetta vegeta had against the frieza race controlling and decieving others, for personal gain and profit. he also understood what frieza did to his people in the namek saga, and saw the look in vegetas eyes. i think piccolo knows vegeta pretty well by now, and i also think vegeta and piccolo have similar personalities and are even voiced by the same VA in the english dub, but to sum it up its like a mutal understanding of morals and principles between men, well give to each other, like unspoken rules, that if you violate you have to be put down, especially if youve been incarcerated at some point, or grew up with a quiet, masculine father, therers a way you learn to speak without speaking. it probrably was also a way for vegeta to atone for his past treatment of the nemekians perhaps. this is just my evaluation as im just watching this for the first time with you. i know it may seem outlandish but keep into account the proper perspective when analyzing this scene. once vegeta heard cabba "valiantly fought by the side of frost" and it turns out he was decieved, the saiyans were being used and decieved, especially since the universe 6 saiyans are actually a noble race. its also important to take into account the type of people toriyama alikens frieza race to, as thats the exact proffesion frost announces he partakes in, confirmed by vados. i also think you made a very true and great evaluation when saying this vegeta would HATE the past vegeta. That to me confirms in my mind even more that this was an ass whooping vegeta wanted to give just off general principles alone., considering how frost takes advantage on others, and probably reminds him of his old self. Looking at it from a psycological perspective it also was probably a way for vegeta to condemn his former behavior as I know he has regrets. This vegeta would probrably try to kill Z vegeta.
