Episode 5 - 6: Google Drive or Dailymotion or Rumble

It's so interesting to read (at the end) the highest and lowest reviews to see how the same story, characters and writing techniques that amaze some, can be strongly disliked by others. It just goes to show how much perspective and interpretation can influence people. If something as "simple" as a fictional story can make people feel so differently, imagine how much more amplified it is across the whole world when we're always looking at everything only from where we stand.

It's not easy to "step out of our own shoes" though, and for a story like this it's not really necessary (I mean, people are welcome to feel however they want about Arcane, since it doesn't change anything in the grander scheme of things - it's simply interesting to hear all perspectives even when we don't agree).

There are things, however, in real life, that eventually (as a society) we need to form some consensus over if we're going to live together peacefully. Not that I think there are many "one and done" solutions either... but anyway, before I ramble on for too long about all the things Arcane makes wonder about (before it has even reached it's full conclusion, mind you, to be "properly" discussed in the first place) let me end with one of my favorite quotes, just 'cause.

"Peace is not the absence of conflict, but rather, the ability to handle conflict through peaceful means."

Copied and pasted credit: This quote is often attributed to leaders like Ronald Reagan and Mahatma Gandhi. A perspective that highlights that peace requires coping with, rather than avoiding [or removing...], inevitable disagreements.
