Just a few photos from our Mahoako shoot. Most of them thumbnail candidates.

A Mahoako shoot is something I've been looking forward to pretty much all year. We had to basically redo all of Carnelian's cosplay because it didn't fit well and then it turned out I lost some of Azul's accessories somehow (which is why she doesn't have her hair bow or the neck bow) but neither of these were enough to really get me down. Chasing a certain vision will do that.

Way earlier in February I got to go to an adult performer/business owner kind of meetup. One of the people I was lucky enough to talk to was Daria, a shibari expert. We agreed that one day I'd give her a Call. Well, that time has finally come.

After some minor inconveniences concerning Carnelian's booba stickers and my lighting setup we were ready to get Selenite tied up aaaaand turns out it sucks to be tied up. Not gonna go into detail but just a few shots in (all of which I fumbled due to suprise of getting rug pulled again) it became clear we needed to stop for the sake of you know, keeping our model alive actually. She bravely mustered enough strength to do a much simpler chair setup after that which is why there is a video this week at all but alas it's nothing like I envisioned originally. 

As frustrating as all of this is I am thankful we managed to shoot something at all. Of course, we still have the cosplay and the shibari expert seemed unperturbed by all of our popping so we can just invite her again if need be. Expect to see more Mahoako next year for sure.

If there's anything I can ask you, please buy this one. Or anything else from our store. The total expenditure for the clip exceeded 800$ (way more than most of our popular videos make) and while the result might not be as mindblowing as I wanted it was an attempt nonetheless. Oh, and a cool fact: even though Carnelian's role was a lot less physical than Selenite's, she rather comically managed to rup her pants right between her legs. Don't bother looking for it in the vid, I don't think it's ever in shot. But it is very funny.

This must have been a real workout for Selenite. Having your arms held up over a longer periode of time can become very exhausting. I guess when you did the shibari you had to stop, because she was hanging too much in the ropes around her thighs? Stuff like that can be dangerous since blood circulation can get cut off. My gf told me about that when she had training for working in highs above stages. They got instructed that if sombody falls and is hanging in the safety line that they have to quickly get them down. After 15 minutes of hanging in the climbing harness the situation can become critical, leathal even.

Sort of; Selenite just started feeling numb and out of breath after a few minutes. It can happen, everyone is affected differently by rope bondage. The expert was watching her the entire time and the operation was completely safe.

Yeah, sounds like her circulation was affected. For bondage like this you really do need an expert to teach you. You could say someone to show you the ropes :p I can't stress that enough for those who want to try or get into it. On another note, have you thought about tying someone onto one of your bigger inflatables? I have seen pictures and it looks like it could be a fun idea for a Mahoako shoot.

I've seen it with a Zenith, Sea Dragon and similar toys. I guess everything with a bit of a longer neck works fine? Maybe that helps in the consideration what toy to use if you want to try it.
