As funny as it would have been to tweet 'Actually you know what, that's it we're done. Byeeee!' and disappear forever, we're not gonna do that. 

The Producer

I am doing reasonably well. It feels very strange having just continuous time off, but obviously that's a good thing. I've already gotten back to a hobby I had to abandon because of 2025, I'm playing videogames with my friends and not alone, it's good stuff. I want to go back to that hill but it's just too cold.

There are so many things on my mind regarding the studio, what I want it to be, what I wanted from last year and how it went. Long story short, it's overwhelming ambition meets cruel reality, all the classics. 

I think there is only one way to truly convey what it was like and what's going to happen to me in the future; you could say I've been learning that way for years. Sadly, it'll take quite a bit of time to make That. Honestly I can't even begin writing the script. It's a mess of themes and narratives I need to put into something digestible. That's not to mention I'll probably have to heavily self-censor for YT guidelines... ugh.

Regardless, I'm not leaving the looner community, I'm not going anywhere and neither is the studio.

The Studio

The original plan for 2026 was to do two videos a month, even higher level productions than before or at least videos that had the same stuff but 5x of it. The closer New Years got the more I realised that'd never happen, ever. 2025 drained everyone in the studio, myself especially and let's be honest I am the heart of this operation.

I thought about just abandoning those final eight clips in favour of just one and that's it. Yet, I still can't help it but want to shoot again. There are still so many ideas I want to do! You don't just walk away from your life's work, you move onto the next thing. I don't mind a few more looner videos in my next thing.

So what we'll probably do instead is do one video a month, starting February. In September, Season 4 will end. Videos will still be made and released afterwards, it'll just become even less regular I think. At some point I'll make my last Studio FUUSEN video for real for real. There's no use thinking about when that'll happen. I'll just let it happen.

There is also the question of customs. Over the course of last year I've been asked so, so many times about those and now I think I have a more or less definite answer: they'll open, sometime in 2026. They'll be absurdly expensive (like, at least 800 USD per video expensive) but if you want Hattori Hanzo to come out of retirement you better have a wad of cash or be umapyoi. 

We might make use of c4s's new custom videos option. That should make the process a bit more transparent and accessible to some people.

Speaking of artisan stuff, I also have plans to resume printing. Whether I'll try hand-printing is up in the air but our factory-made balloons seem to have been received well enough. The main problem is shipping, as outward customs are a huge pain when you're doing 30 parcels a month. You need to register with the customs office, provide receipts etc. We'll figure it out. Probably start with selling the remainder of our Nero x Artoria stock, then do the Love Live prints. Those prints are absolutely beautiful! They'll come in sets of 3, with three girls on each balloon. If you bought our Weathernews video (and statistically speaking you probably didn't) you've seen those illustrations. 

In terms of access to our archive I'm thinking of opening a mymember.site. It kind of makes me cringe how poor the customisation is there but they seem like a decent solution. 30 bucks a month for something like 400 videos? Doesn't sound too bad. The monthly updates will also be uploaded there, along with c4s. I saw that Boosty added a 'Showcase' thing where you can sell individual posts, I wonder if that one's worth a try for the last few vids of S4. 

If you were waiting for S3 to become free, sorry. I've been doing this for so long I kind of wish for a little bit of passive income reward. If the new member site + c4s + support sites can bring like a thousand bucks a month that'll be enough to cover rent, food and even part of my ongoing medical expenditure (don't forget that this all is built on the shoulders of a goddamn MS patient, yeowch). Then, the rest can be put back into Studio FUUSEN and whatnot. See, you should definitely keep supporting. Please? Please bro I NEED this broooo!!!! My dakimakura's kinda homeless!!

The Support Sites

Lastly, let's cover Boosty/Patreon real quick.

The three sets/month will continue for a bit since I have that cut footage I told you about last year, plus the monthly shoots, plus the odd thing like Celestine's birthday shoot (you'll see) and any customs that come up. At some point we'll probably have to go down to 2 or even 1 post a month. 

You will be notified before that happens so no worries.
