It's Friday, and that means your latest episode of Expert Reacts on EXP has arrived!

This week we're off globetrotting with everybody's favourite archaeologist, Indiana Jones. Yep, Dave and Jonathan are diving into the period arsenal of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, breaking down everything from Indy's iconic sidearm to the German and Italian weaponry that the Man in the Hat pilfers along the way.

Don't forget, as an Extended Episode patron you chose... wisely, which means that you get an extra long episode with a bunch of extra content, a week earlier than the main feed, and it's ad-free.

Jonathan Ferguson, an expert in firearms history and the Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, breaks down the weapons of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, including the German firearms, the Luger P08 and Karabine 98K, the Italian Carcano and M1934, and, of course, Indy’s iconic sidearm, the Smith & Wesson MkII Hand Ejector.

Love the breakdown of the differences in the gun used in the recreation of Raiders' opening scene. Now I want Jonathan to react to the movies as well lol

As I understand it, the chinstrap myth was something that some US soldiers actually believed, although I believe it was more related to artillery than small arms.

Lovely to see the guns of Nazi Punching Simulator. Also a healthy helping of punching nazis.

I would’ve been perfectly content with an Indiana Jones FPS… but I like this idea better. still, shame you can’t reload weapons, other than pistols
