BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The space where Maki and Suzuki had just been standing was utterly erased. Kenjaku's Maximum: Uzumaki vaporized the asphalt, the concrete pillars, and the very air itself, leaving nothing but a glowing, molten crater in the heart of Shibuya. Yet, moving at a speed that defied the laws of physics, Suzuki was already blocks away, protecting Maki securely against his chest, having dodged the beam with perfect precision.

"...Sorry," Maki breathed out, her chest heaving as he gently set her down.

The sudden, violent acceleration and the residual, blistering heat of the blast had left her lightly panting. A thin, alluring sheen of sweat made her skin glisten under the flickering streetlights, causing her dark clothes to cling tightly to her toned, athletic curves. Reaching up to the delicate silver necklace resting against the soft swell of her cleavage, she channeled a fraction of intent into the gem.

Thanks to the shared knowledge across the multiverse—specifically the crafting mastery of the Arifureta Suzuki, who conquered dungeons, and the magical knowledge of the DxD Finn—Suzuki could forge cursed tools far superior to anything in the Zenin Clan's ancient vaults.

He had gifted her a dimensional pocket disguised as a beautiful necklace.

Frankly, Maki sometimes wondered if a rough, battle-hardened girl like her deserved something so delicate and pretty. She spent her days in Tokyo gripping cheap polearms; her hands were calloused, and she rarely paid attention to beauty or skincare. Yet, as she felt the cool metal against her skin, a deep, undeniably feminine warmth bloomed in her chest. Suzuki treated her like a woman, spoiling her with gifts and ensuring she had the absolute best. Even Mai had teased her about it, noting how much softer her rough edges had become around him.

But right now, there was no time for romance. Maki pulled her new weapon from the spatial void.

The moment her fingers wrapped around the massive shaft, the surrounding air grew heavy. The aura exuding from the weapon made the distant cursed spirits tense.

"...It still surprises me that you can casually make something like this," Maki murmured, a grin spreading across her lips.

She wielded Baryuu—the Barbaric Dragon. Inspired by a demonic weapon from a classic youkai anime, it was a massive polearm topped with a brutally thick, diamond-shaped spearhead. It looked impossibly heavy, capable of crushing a boulder with its mass alone. Yet, in Maki's hands, it looked as light as a feather. She shifted her stance, her hips swaying and her thigh muscles flexing as she twirled the heavy blade in a lethal, mesmerizing dance.

Watching her confident stride, Suzuki felt a surge of pride. With the arsenal he had crafted for her, he had zero worries about her safety. Unless a curse possessed the destructive yield of a tactical nuke, Maki was untouchable. He could have told her to stand back and let him handle it, but she needed this. Her Heavenly Restriction thrived on live combat. Toji Fushiguro had forged his monstrous strength through endless assassinations and death matches. Maki had Suzuki's nutrients, his training, and his love—giving her a vastly higher ceiling than Toji ever had—but she still needed the raw experience of blood and battle.

If she ever gains something like Take Over magic or a Mythical Zoan fruit of a new Suzuki, probably, Suzuki thought, his eyes tracking the sway of her hips, she will genuinely become an unkillable.

But that was for later. Right now, he had his own prey to catch.

"I will go first."

As a master of Projection Sorcery, Suzuki was the fastest being alive. Mach 5 was merely his cruising speed. If his father or his arrogant brother Naoya attempted to move that fast, their human bodies would tear themselves apart from the G-force. Naoya had to die and become a cursed spirit just to reach Mach 3. But Suzuki? Mach 5 was just the beginning.

"Yeah."

Maki wasn't going to chase after him, as she knew that she was too slow.

"Hanami, help me get out of here! Now! Leave!"

While Suzuki talked with Maki, Kenjaku was experiencing a millennium-first: a panic.

The ancient mastermind, who had spent over a thousand years slowly manipulating the world from the shadows, was scrambling over the rubble like a terrified rat. The roles had been reversed. The upstart he thought he could casually eliminate had instantly become the predator.

What is this?! What the hell is this?! Kenjaku's mind screamed.

If he had known Suzuki possessed this level of speed, he would have strangled him in his crib! But it was too late. Suzuki had broken the sound barrier effortlessly. It was physically impossible to fight someone moving at Mach speeds in close combat.

Despite his ribs being fractured and his skull throbbing with agonizing pain, Kenjaku completely ignored his Reverse Cursed Technique. Healing took focus. He needed every ounce of his concentration just to survive the next three seconds. He had fired his Uzumaki purely as a distraction, betting that Suzuki would prioritize the woman's life over the kill.

It had bought him a split second. If he didn't use it now, he would be dead.

At Kenjaku's desperate shriek, the towering plant curse, Hanami, instantly activated its unique technique, erasing the cursed energy signatures completely.

But could they truly escape?

And as expected, the sonic boom tore through Shibuya once again.

Suzuki materialized directly in the path of the fleeing Kenjaku and Hanami. The wind pressure of his arrival created a hurricane of dust and debris. This time, his hands weren't empty. He gripped a massive, sharp battle axe, the polished steel glinting under the fires of the ruined city.

With the momentum of Mach 5 behind his swing, Suzuki brought the heavy blade down!

"When you're doing yard work and face a stubborn weed..." Suzuki's voice was calm, yet it caused those who heard it to be filled with fear. "...you use an axe, right?"

"..." Kenjaku and Hanami couldn't even process the words before the blade connected.

THWACK!

Hanami's durable wooden armor—tough enough to withstand point-blank explosions—parted like wet tissue paper. The axe cleaved cleanly through the curse's left side, sending a spray of purple blood and splintered wood flying across the pavement.

In that desperate, agonizing split second, Hanami unleashed its trump card.

Suddenly, a massive, vibrant garden of beautiful, glowing flowers sprouted from the shattered concrete. A sweet, intoxicating pollen filled the air, washing over Suzuki. For a brief moment, his bloodlust vanished, replaced by an overwhelming sensation of peacefulness.

Flower Field.

Hanami gasped, using that moment of Suzuki's peace and daze to dive into the shadows with Kenjaku.

But they wouldn't have survived even that without backup.

SPLASH!

A massive, crushing tide of saltwater suddenly erupted from the alleyway, swallowing the ruined street. Suzuki was instantly drenched, the freezing, salty water washing away the sweet scent of the flowers and snapping him out of his daze.

When the water receded, leaving his clothes clinging to his frame, Kenjaku and Hanami were gone. In their place stood a bizarre, red-skinned creature with a volcano for a head and a floating, squid-like monster covered in cursed markings.

Water dripped from Suzuki's hair, trailing down his jawline. He looked at Jogo and Dagon, his expression perfectly calm.

"Cursed spirits are so lovely," Suzuki smiled, his tone was filled with sarcasm. "They sacrificed themselves to save their comrades."

Without missing a beat, Suzuki casually clamped the handle of his massive battle axe under his armpit. Under the extremely tense, speechless gazes of the two disaster curses, he raised his empty hands and lazily clapped them together.

"...." Jogo and Dagon.
