This was originally intended to be a small collection I swear. But when I started drawing the sketch in Fusion I ended up making three variations and then of course I had to replicate all three across each model so here we are. 😅

Anyway I absolutely adore these, they are sooo cute! Though they did give me quite a bit of grief to print well - and on this I would love to thank my incredible testers for helping perfect these. Just know I always value your feedback and this helps me a lot when trying to figure out why something isn't working properly!

Now onto the models, in part 1 we have:

Paperclips

Badge Reel Covers

Ornaments

Keychains

Straw toppers

Earrings

Each model comes with 3 variations: left bow & ribbon with snowflakes, center ribbon & circular snowflake pattern and right bow with snowflakes. Earrings have a few more options making a total of 20 models in this drop! I went with a sugar cookie colour theme but you can pretty much use any colour you want and they will come out awesome. Earrings are a little special so I'll talk a tiny bit about them below.

Earrings come in 5 types of charms: bows, snowflakes and heart charms (with bow, snowflake or blank). You can customise these as much as you'd like as all pieces come in 2 variations, upper charm (2 holes) or lower charm (1 top hole) - the photos I've included only show a few combinations. For example, you can combine an upper bow with a lower snowflake or a lower heart charm. Or vice versa. Or have them on their own as well. You can make them singles, doubles or triple dangles too! Feel free to adjust the colours to whatever you like, the possibilities are endless! Do note if you're using the bow as the upper piece, you may need 2 jump rings if combining with a heart charm or a larger single ring else it gets very tight (in my photos I used 7mm jump rings).

You might have noticed on the 3MF files that I've included a plate that has modifiers - the settings this time for printing are a bit different. If slicing STLs yourself you must take note:

REQUIRED - Quality -> Advanced -> Top Area Threshold: 35% - this setting forces the infill on the top of the snowflakes else you will have a lot of gaps (you might need to enable develop mode for this).

REQUIRED - Outer Wall/Inner Wall/Top Surface line width: 0.3mm (on a 0.4 nozzle, if using 0.2 nozzle this can be skipped) - crucial after lowering the top area threshold to force the snowflake walls to be printed thinner so they appear more uniform. The only exception is the heart charm with the snowflake in the earrings file when it should be set to 0.4 (I've done this for you in the 3MF).

REQUIRED - Arachne Wall Generator - the smaller snowflakes may not appear unless this is switched on.

OPTIONAL - the plate with modifiers forces the model to print the top of the heart and the bottom of snowflakes as a new solid - this gives the nozzle a much cleaner travel path so you get a nicer surface. I've put this as optional as while it does improve overall quality - the difference may be negligible with some printers/filaments that are calibrated very well. (see below image for example of what this does)

OPTIONAL - I didn't enable it in the 3MF but you can also use ironing for an even cleaner look. I did notice a quality increase with this on, assuming you have your ironing settings dialled in properly.

I've put these settings on a handy read-me in the folder with STLs for reference as well.

While this collection will not be Patreon exclusive (that's the next collection) it will be a paid bundle (I may elect one model in the next part as a free model). Paid members will have early access as of today to these models via the Download Post or using the link below:

I will be listing them on my Etsy/Cults at a later date once I have some more free time though probably not till much later as I have friends visiting this week so I will be focusing on getting part 2 out for members in the next few days instead. Feel free to follow the shop so you can get updates on when they are added though!

Any issues just let me know!
