Ice Cream Drip Collection Part 2 (Paid) (Patreon)

A little bit delayed with this as it took me quite a while to work out the best way to do the lids on the trinket dish.

Previously I mentioned about how I really didn't like the face down design for the ice cream handle clips but since the lids are normally printed face down to avoid supports on the underside this made designing it quite difficult. I tried making the lid as embossed style and going with supports but it left a very imperfect finish on the underside which I really didn't like. I considered glue but there wasn't a way for me to make a cut out to make the gluing process easier. I also did not want to need another colour for the waffle pattern as that makes it difficult for 1 AMS users.

After a bit of troubleshooting I remembered another model I've been working on in the background that makes use of a small cut into the model to serve as an outline in a design without needing to actually draw a coloured outline. So I tried applying that same idea here and voila! The face down version now has the embedded outline so now you can see the pattern even when it's face down thus removing the need to draw an actual outline that uses a separate distinguishing colour! 🍦

Now it's not as cool as actually having the waffle pattern raised but this looked pretty good to me so that is what I ended up going with in this collection! That said I will also update the one piece handle clip file to include this option as well so please make sure to grab the new version (as right now you need a darker brown for the waffle pattern). Of course if you prefer to use a darker colour for the outline the option is still there. Do note that does push the design to 5 colours minimum so you will need 2 AMS. 🍓

Please note the soap holder for the flat cone style is a little different from the pen holder variant. The style looks more like the normal cone soap holder with the white background due to needing a bigger cut out for the soap bottles to fit properly.

Strawberry or Cherry (that serves as a lifting tab)

Please note if printing strawberry with 1 AMS you will need to change the leaves from green to something else, I recommend just using the sprinkles colour or the waffle colour.

Two colour waffle lids will also require 2 AMS as you'd need an extra colour for the pattern even if you only use a single colour for sprinkles.
