Addition of Welcome Pack & Membership Updates (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

Starting from next month I will be introducing a new, clearer and easier to understand system for new members who are joining us.

I will be shifting away from the 3 month model system to a monthly system. Currently when you join, you receive the current month's models and also the previous two months models. This is noted on the download post with the month prefix which ends up becoming very long and complicated with lots of model files attached to the post directly. Going forward when you join, you will receive the current month's models only.

To make up for this, I will be introducing a Welcome Pack instead, which will feature the more popular designs released to date. The Welcome Pack will include 2 full collection sets, including the popular Concha set and the Notebook Bow set. As a bonus I have also included the first set of text edge bookmarks and the first part of the Build Your Own series. 🎁

This helps provide new members with a good collection of models to start with whilst keeping the membership rewarding for subscribers who stay subscribed continuously for longer periods. ✨

You can see all the models included in the Welcome Pack collection under Currently Available Files. it will be permanently available in the Download Post alongside the current month's models.

To help facilitate this transition to the new system, I will be setting up the archiving of older exclusive models on MyMiniFactory. For those who are new to this system you will receive an email every month to add those month's models to your MMF library. These are permanent and are linked to your account so even if you forget to download them from Patreon you will always have access to the models. Please note access to the MMF archive is based on when you start your membership. For example:

Member A joins 2nd July. Their month membership lasts till 2nd August. Because they joined in July, they will receive July files through MMF once they are archived at the end of the month.

Member B joins 27th July. Their month membership lasts till 27th August. Again they joined in July so they will receive July files through MMF but NOT August.

Member C joins 10th August. Their month membership lasts till 10th September. They will receive August files through MMF but not July or September.

Please Note: MMF is still in testing and has limitations due to Patreon's reporting features. I cannot guarantee it will always work as expected so please try to download files from Patreon if you can.

FAQS:

With this update are there any changes to pricing?

No, pricing remains the same for all tiers. Currently I do not have plans to increase the cost of membership.

How does the Welcome Pack affect commercial licensing?

The commercial license is only valid while membership is active. If cancelled, the license will also expire. The membership covers all model's commercial licensing while active, including past and current releases so when you cancel, the license also ends for all those models.

What if I joined to receive the Welcome Pack but want to cancel membership, how can I keep the commercial license to the Welcome Pack models?

You can purchase the one-off license for the models off Etsy/Cults/MMF after you cancel membership to retain lifetime commercial licensing for those specific models contained in the Welcome Pack. You do not need to stay subscribed after purchasing the one-off licenses.

What about existing members? How does this change things for us?

There are no changes for existing members. You will continue to receive new models monthly through the Download Post, and while membership is active you also retain your commercial licensing rights. The only addition is if you happen to miss downloading models for a specific month these are now automatically added to your MMF account so you can access them anytime. This also means if your PC or laptop is lost you will still have access to models you obtained during your active subscription. The new system helps keeps things fair for existing members who are subscribed as you will always receive the latest and newest models with your membership without the need to purchase them individually which costs a lot more.

What if there's a release late in the month and I forget to download before the month is over?

Models are not deleted straight away on the 1st of each month, I will archive them at the same time as uploading them to MMF. This means there will never be any downtime for model access. Once the models are archived and emails sent out on MMF then I will remove them from the Patreon download post. It is highly dependent on my schedule when models get archived but rest assured there'll always be some way to access the models. At worst case I can email them directly should you encounter an issue so feel free to message me if you need a file and cannot access it for whatever reason.

Are there any rewards to a yearly subscription?

You get 30% off the total cost in a yearly subscription versus a monthly subscription. I am looking into adding some kind of reward for yearly subscribers but details to be determined. I previously mentioned a reward for long term subscribers as well, I have not forgotten about this but I am still looking into the best way to do this!

Does this change anything for Patreon Exclusives?

No, Patreon exclusives are my way of thanking existing members and these will still be exclusive for three months. If you are an active member for an exclusive, you will receive the archived version of this in your MMF account when it's removed from the Download Post. I will also be increasing the number of Patreon exclusives as well to keep the membership rewarding for existing subscribers.

What this means for new members is if you miss an exclusive, there will be no way to access said exclusive for another 2 months.

Example:

Member A joins in January. They will have access to the January exclusive. When February rolls along, the exclusive will be added to their MMF library and removed from Patreon downloads.

Member B joins February. They will have access to the February exclusive but NOT January. They will not be able to obtain the January exclusive until it's added to the general archive in April, and this must be purchased separately from their membership.

What about normal paid files that aren't exclusives?

There are no changes to these. The membership will include access to these and they are also permanently available in the Etsy/Cults shop anytime. For members they will be added to the MMF archive library once they move away from the Download Post.

Is there a discount code for members to purchase older models?

Yes, members will receive a 30% off code to use on any of my shops to purchase older models. This code changes monthly and will be listed in the Download Post for members.

Do you have a Discord group or Facebook group?

At the moment no, but we do have a members chat on Patreon though! Would people like a Discord or Facebook group being added?

When does this change come into effect?

The changes will begin on Saturday August 1st 2026 12:59 PM GMT / 11:59 AM GMT. If you join prior to this time, you will receive the older system's models (previous 3 months) as opposed to the Welcome Pack + current month models. Due to the implementation of the new system - I will leave April models available up until the 1st August even though they are due to be removed this month. If you are unsure as to what you will be receiving please send me a message and I can confirm for you.

When can members expect emails to MMF?

Emails will start going out next week starting from October 2025 releases and you will receive an email as each month's uploads get added to the archive. If you do not receive an email, please check spam first and also ensure your MMF email matches your Patreon email. Please note while I archive the models on my end, the system is managed by the MMF team so if you are not receiving emails you may need to contact MMF support directly here to check the link between your accounts are established correctly: https://www.myminifactory.com/contact_us/
