Here's a Grimdark update that might burst your eardrums!

As usual, the majority of the Grimdark WIPs are not on Patreon anymore.  But community members can still access the latest WIPs as mentioned in previous posts.  Just to be thorough, community members will receive an email with the access information as well.

Now you might look at this screaming abomination and think 'What is that? WTF is that?!' Well this is what you get when your Primarch decides it's okay to pick up a weird sword in an alien temple covered in Chaos STDs.  Yes, it's a Noise Marine, one of those bizarre and less known Chaos Space Marines that everyone pretends not to know but is actually the life of the party. 😅

Noise Marines are devotees to Slaanesh and usually (but not always) associated with the Emperor's Children. What started as perfection seeking with Fabius approved bio modifications eventually devolved into drug use and body mutilations. Now, it's all about chasing that new high, something to top the previous one. And after thousands of years doing the most extreme drugs and undergoing 'enhancement' surgeries, an average Emperor's Children senses has dulled to the point where only the most extreme sensations can trigger any sort of stimuli in their drug addled minds. So what most people would look at and vomit, an EC would just look and think it's tame.

While all worshippers of Slaanesh crave new sensations and experiences, Noise Marines are those that pursue extreme auditory sensation. So they've modified their lungs and wargear to create powerful sonic shrieks that can rip apart a fully armored Space Marine or blow their heads off. Their weapons have been tinkered to replicate their sonic shrieks. Some creative Noise Marines will actually modify them to function as musical instruments. So you can rip that wild solo while ripping your enemies apart.

Appearance wise, Noise Marines are definitely some of the most bizarre looking traitors. Their colour palette is garish and offensive to the normal eye but pleasing to their Chaos warped brains (and She Who Thirsts). Their pupils are dilated to extreme levels often giving them a dead fish eye look. Body mutilations are on full display with huge amplifiers to create the loudest most ear splitting shrieks imaginable. Sometimes, Slaanesh will show favour by giving Noise Marines interesting mutations like crab claws and other appendages best left to the imagination.

The next flagrant act of heresy is the Slaaneshi corrupted Sister of Battle. Now as I've mentioned before, corrupting a Sister of Battle is almost impossible but there are documented lore cases with the first one actually being a Slaaneshi devotee. But don't go mentioning that to anyone unless you want the full wrath of the Order of Our Martyred Lady (and the Inquisition) to descend upon you. Anyways, my Slaaneshi Sister will also favour sonic weapons with some unique weapons and head choices you can swap out.
