I made a quick tutorial for patreons about surface deform. This is a follow up to the fat tutorial and the GRET tutorial. this tutorial does not require any plugins and uses blender 5.1.xGret also does not work in newer versions of blender so I figured its about time to show people a new way to edit clothes. If you have a plus sized furry model base but you want to refit clothing for it, you can use Surface Deform to do most of the heavy lifting, and then clean up various parts by hand.steps:import your main model, body/creature body/etc. in my video its the moonfangs "creature body"have a fat shape or other shape you want to fit the clothing around (can work for muscles, boobs, various other body edits etc, fat is just the most obvious example I had on hand.import your clothing, make sure its in the same space and scale as the moonfang, basically so it fits over it just like in unity since your clothing will probably have a vrcfury prefab.in object mode, select your clothing as the active object, go to modifiers, and add the surface deform modifier. for the source select your characters mesh, usually "body" or in the moonfangs case "creature body"click the bind button in the modifierselect the body/creature body as the active object and set the fat shape (or whatever shape you are reforming around) to 100go back to the surface deform modifier on the clothing and use the small dropdown arrow to SAVE AS BLENDSHAPE. do not APPLY AS BLENDSHAPE it will over write the shape you are on.use the new "surface deform" blendshape as the starting point for your plus sized clothing edit.Feel free to reach out for questions or suggest more tutorials or demonstrations.
